Didn't know how to operate system for check out, weren't prepared, forgot to put dolly on rental agreement, mileage allowed was wrong and told corrected but wasn't cause at end of trip charged for more miles. Had to talk to gentleman at ‭(360) 216-9397‬ to help me and he had to even do my upload of pictures for dispute on condition of truck. Took over hour to pickup truck.

My complaints are with U-haul themselves and not the small businesses that host U-haul. I was sent to the one location based on my reservation, but my truck was in another, making me "late" to pick it up. This meant my drop-off time was at the original pick up time so I lost an hour of my reservation. I also reserved a 26' truck and was told two days before we needed to pick it up that it was not an option and I would have to take a 20'. We tried to pack all of our things but they would not fit. We gave up and tried to call U-haul and The Sands Resort U-haul representative, no one would pick up. We finally got a local dispatcher and she was very helpful. She offered us a small trailer to make up for some of the space we lost at a deal that made our total (truck+trailer) the same as the 26' truck. We lost another hour though waiting to pick up the trailer because of complications at the pick-up location. I asked if we could have our drop-off time changed to make up for this loss and was told U-haul would not let that change be made. I think that it is unreasonable that U-haul did not offer us the extra trailer when we were told our 26' truck was unavailable and that there was not a way to update our drop-off time to make up for the 2 hours we lost in packing time. Again these complaints are all with the corporation, U-haul, not the small local businesses. It was clear though all conversations that the problems I was having were things that were out of the control of the local guys and that only the official U-haul personnel could make changes to.
