I was charged 12.0? On my card for fuel replacement and I had left more fuel in the truck according to my opinion. The Clerk never informed me of the charge. Not good!!!

The .99 cents per mile is a bit high. I yes I understand the wear and tear on vehicles. But even taking that into consideration with renting vehicle and paying per miles is to high.

I preferred speaking to a person rather than scheduling on line. Angel was very helpful and very knowledgeable. Pick up was quick and easy. The truck was not brand new but was a decent truck for the 300 mile trip. It rode well and handled well with no complaints. I would recommend them to anyone. No horror stories here!

Go to another Uhaul location. These are the most unprofessional and inept people that I have ever dealt with, when doing business with Uhaul. The mileage was understated from what the actual miles on the truck were. The representative who checked me in, tried to force me to leave him some id or paperwork, so that I would make sure to bring their equipment back. (What?) I put in too much gas in yhe vehicle when I returned the truck, and was told sorry, but we have no way of giving credits for when you bring back more gas than what was in there when you picked it up. Oh, and I had to ask the initial person for copies of all of my paperwork more than once, because he was just ready to give me the keys (reluctantly) and that was it. This place was extremely tedious to do business with, and I will never use them again.

I found that the service did not meet expectations. I ordered online 2 dozen blankets and when I got there they only had one and was told I could go to another store and pick up another dozen. Well once I got there i was there over an hour cause they could not find a way to rent to me as they were not in system, though they were sitting there in office. I was told to come back the next day to pick them up. The next day they still had issues but finally figured out how to process them I had a separate contract and when I went to turn them in, there was only record of the one contract, but they were very helpful and figured it out in about 5 minutes. See you guranatee and i feel that I did not get good satisfactory service and due the $50 promise.

Comments: The rental reservation process was okay. The equipment pickup process was satisfactory. However the U-Haul auto transport I rented required road side service after only 60 miles of travel. The rear right side wheel of the auto transport over heated causing visible smoke. There was an undiagnosed, and unidentified problem that caused the wheel to heat up and smoke during transport. This issue could have caused a blow out and a wreck on the interstate. I called U-Haul for roadside assistance. After being stopped on the side of Intersate 40 in the heat of a June afternoon for 1.75 hours, the wrecker technician said the issue was low brake fluid or perhaps a bad wheel bearing. He added brake fluid, followed me for about 2 miles, stopped and checked the wheel. He followed me another 5-7 miles and checked the wheel again and said he could identify no futher issues and I could resume my drive. Afterwards I continued to my destination 160 miles away. To prevent a catastrophic breakdown, or worse, I drove at a 45 mph speed with the emergency flashers on plus I stopped every 30 miles to let the wheel cool down. In summary the poor condition of the auto transport caused me to have a miserable trip which nearly doubled my travel time. What can you do to improve for the next customer: Take the auto transport out of service for maintenance and repair the issue so no one else has to experience a breakdown or accident because of its present condition. You may also want to consider altering your rental procedures to check auto transport wheel conditions with a method beyond a simple visual inspection. A more revealing mechanical diagnosis maybe necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.

Uhaul was very rude after I had to wait 3hrs for mangum to arrive to my residence. Uhaul gave me the opportunity to keep the uhaul over night to make up the lost time I missed. But I Lucyly got the chance to finish early before 6p.m. I didn't have enough time to put gas in the truck because I knew it was time for uhaul employees to go home. However, if I didn't have to deal with the truck being messed up I would had enough time to put the gas in myself. Even though I had this big issue today uhaul still charge me a fee because they had to put the gas in their selves. I did not drive $30 Worth gas around town. My time ran out and I knew they was ready to go home so instead of me putting the fuel in myself I tried to give them funds for the fuel. I feel uhaul took my money when I tried to give them funds to replace fuel. I will never deal with uhaul again. #VeryDisrespectful #Rate from 0-10.. Had to pickup the truck in Mt Airy and deadhead it all the way to Blacksburg, Va. It worked out ok but this was still a pain. If you know you aren't going to have a vehicle at the needed location it might be better to say its unavailable.

The attendant wanted me to unhook the car trailer from the truck even though there were other employees there more qualified. Said the gas tank was not where the contract said it was, which it was. Would NOT recommend this location to anyone.

You need to hire people with better customer service skills. The woman that works at this location wasnt friendly at all!! I also feel I was over charged! They charged me 153.00 plus I had to put 50 dollars worth of gas in the truck and I only went 153 miles! What a rip off! I'll never use u haul again!!

The only lady that knew anything about UHaul was not there. The confirmed truck was not there. Steve from Arsco on Highway 52 came to this location as a service to me and checked an alternate truck in and then checked it back out to me. About 2 hours lost time.

I reserved a 17' truck. At time of pick up there was no 17' truck available at this or any other location in the vicinity. All that was available was a 26' truck which I did not want due to the tight space at my new house but, I had no choice. As a result I had to park the truck in my yard rather than the driveway, it sank into the wet ground and I had to call a tow truck (another $50) to get pulled out. U-Haul emergency assistance was no help with this - basically said it was not their problem and I was on my own to deal with it. On top of that the truck box leaked and got quite a few boxes soaked, and the front of the truck bounced up and down like it was on ski moguls. Fortunately I was only driving a short distance. The only positive thing was I was only charged for the smaller truck I reserved. But I will never use U-Haul again nor recommend them to anyone else.

After leaving I found on the opposite side of document that I signed when picking up truck that the truck had the van portion with taped areas that may leake if driven in rain and that I took responsibility for that. If I had been shown this I would not have accepted the unit. This document was glued down to the tri-folder provided therefore making it difficult to turn over and read the back which I did not do until one day out. Too late then and this definitely should have been revealed to me. I am very disappointed in U Haul in general in this move as the only thing that I was pleased with was that I got here. If I had not been sure I would have been given sound equipment for a 1800 mile rental I would have gotten the vehicle earlier. It was not delivered to my pickup location until the day before my move not allowing me the opportunity to turn down a vehicle that had 166,000 miles on it and looked every bit that. The tires were good as I at least told my wife that I did not think expect a blow out. The truck was cleas but the seats were stained the outside of the cab looked like an old farm truck and it was so loud on the road the you had to almost shout to hear each other talk. I can not believe that U-Haul routinely sends someone cross country in at vehicle that it appears you were trying to get back closer to it's home state to "bury" Very disappointed and at this point would never use U-Haul again and will discourage anyone else.
