The person who helped me was rude, didn't just give me the key and be kind. Drove the truck to the end of the street and left it running in the middle of the road when I had yet to take photos of the condition, the inside was disgusting. Dirty all over, covered in dirt on the floor, something gross splashed on the dash, hair, hey and dirt on the seats. Tons of dust on the dashboard.Shannon S.

Receptionist attitude needs to be changed to be friendly instead of a grouch needs to spell out what it's really going to cost when they tell you it's $.59 a mile and it's $1.59 somebody out to be fired we don't need that kind of attitude in this area he must be from Californiagary M.

The trailer tire was significantly under PSI and had noticeable wear reflecting long term driving while with a low pressure. This should have been noticed at check in before it was made available to be rented again. The STAFF did a great job taking care of the issue, and we had no problems during our rental.Jason O.

Well. I reserved my truck and the website sent me to a completely different address miles away from the actual pickup location first of all. When I did get there. They told me that the truck I rented had 1/4 of a tank. 🤷🏼â€â™€ï¸ When I actually got into the truck I looked at the gauge and it actually only had 3/8 of a tank of gas. Again??? Even though I had a fairly short move, @40 miles round trip. I almost ran out of gas before I could return it. AND I returned it with more gas than when I started. So you tell me. How was my experience with uhaul rental? It sucked!!!! And I will gladly tell everyone. You need to step up.DANA LEE S.

Reservation staff need to be knowable about area they are scheduling. I could have picked both trucks and auto transport at one location instead of driving over a 100 miles round trip to two locations. This wasted my time and money for gasoline.DARRYL H.
Do something about the online check in process. It did not work for us at all. We had to wait and do in person. Even if the online check-in had worked, the truck we reserved was behind a locked gate. We started our move over an hour and a half late because of the online check in. We had no problems with the in store service. The were courteous and helpful and the grounds were meticulously maintained. The truck was good too. Online check in not so much.Lynette G.

UHAUL is the worst company. Your right hand doesn't know what your left hand is doing. Your website said we could drop in Sandpoint and we paid more than $100 more to drop there than in SPOKANE, which was suggested. WE DECLINED ON THE WEBSITE. YET when I went to drop at the Sandpoint location, I was told they could not receive the truck and NO LOCATION in Sandpoint could. Taylor at the 800 number is incapable of being professional or helpful. She reports to Austin and she was completely unhelpful. She actually said she's been telling many of your customers the same thing for over 2 months-that they can't drop where they were told they could. She also said if I left the truck at Squeeky's, UHAUL would charge me the round trip charge instead of one way. THREATENING A CUSTOMER! She told me I'd have to drive 1 1/2 hours (each way!) to SPOKANE or MONTANA to drop the truck. Are you KIDDING ME!??? (LISTEN TO THE RECORDING; SHE SAID THIS WAS RECORDED!) I DECLINED DROPPING IT IN SPOKANE WHEN I MADE THE STUPID ONLINE RESERVATION! I WAS TOLD AT PICKUP by Mark that my contract was "open" and that I could drop it at Squeeky's. Mark at Storage Central then repeated what he told me, ON SPEAKERPHONE, to the guys at Squeeky's who then proceeded to tell him he was wrong. Come to find out, it's not Mark's fault. Taylor told me she'd give me $100 for gas and 2 extra days to take it back to Spokane! She's a fool because we already paid OVER 100$ more to drop it in Sandpoint. So she's going to give me back LESS than the amount I paid to DECLINE dropping in Spokane?!!! YOUR CONTRACT STATES that SANDPOINT is my "destination", NOT SPOKANE. To a customer, that means the same as "LOCATION". Your website gave me a choice of where to drop; I CHOSE SANDPOINT. In the end, Squeeky's got a hold of someone and received the truck. Clearly Squeeky's was able to handle the problemTaylor was not able to handle. And she has absolutely no ability to deal with a furious and frustrated customer. And why wouldn't I be furious! Expecting your customers to drive 3 hours to return a truck is reprehensible. It's fraudulent. And I'm reporting what happened to VISA.Dawn R.

I've used Uhaul a few times now for my last few moves and moth times the trucks feel like they're a rolling death trap. The mobile checkin process is flawed and not customer focused at all. Unfortunately I will choose another vendor for my next move.RONALD M.

The don't fill the trucks will fuel or sweep them out before renting them to the next person. I was given a truck that was on dead empty and had to rush to the nearest gas station before my move even started. I was told that I would get a discount if I brought it back with fuel in it. I brought it back with a Â¼ tank and got no discount. I have used u haul alot in the past 10 years and this is the absolute last time.FIANNA RAVEN M.

It seemed the ground crew knew more than admin staff. Thank goodness for the ground crew otherwise the empty boxes would have sat for a week. Also, you need to let customers know that their boxes won't be delivered to the address they hoped. And that there's an extra charge for boxes to be delivered to designated address. We reserved a 10' truck to take a mattress and box springs across town. We drove a total of 12 mi. that day which included the stop at Chevron on highway 97 for refueling with 10 dollars cash. (1 mile away) from Storage Central. We were told to leave the truck and that we were good to go. No one, came out to review anything with us, when we left or returned. Upon looking at the emailed receipt the next day in my inbox, I noticed they surcharged me a refueling fee of 21 dollars tacked on for 4 gallons of gas. It's not disputed that we went a total of 12 mi. but I did not get a receipt for the gas I bought when I paid cash. When we went to dispute this with Storage Central/U-haul, they requested a photo of the gas gauge (departing and returning) and a fuel receipt. Both of which were were not told - to do prior to departure, to avoid any discrepancies. Someone is being very dishonest here and it's not us. I suspect the employees are fueling their own personal vehicles and pull this stunt on people 'they think' won't mess around quibbling over 21 dollars. But it is something the public needs to know about...buyer beware!Sonya M.

I reviewed three trucks before I felt comfortable accepting one that I felt was in good condition. The first truck seemed to have a loose front end and the right rear tires were down to the wear tabs, The second truck trailer plug wires were pulled out of the receptacle and the cab wasn't clean. Both trucks had 78 and 79,000 miles on them and both units were 2016 models. Since I was traveling clear across the United States I wasn't comfortable accepting either unit. The unit That I took was a 2020 model with mechanical windows, mechanical door locks, no cruise control and an exhaust leak, this unit only had 26,000 miles. I'm not impressed.Mark W.
The site was great. However the corporate office was awful. We waited on hold 35 minutes before we hung up because clearly no one was goin got answer. I ended up having to pay $847 because our town didn't have a Uhaul and the closest site was 2.5 hours away. When I tried to call corporate to talk to them. No one ever answered. The relationship from U-Haul to MovingHelp.com to the actual people who help you move is so byzantine, I never knew when I was dealing with whom. It made it very difficult whenever I wanted to check back to my order about a date or an amount or contact someone. I feel like I won the lottery because my move was accomplished with very few hiccups. If something had gone seriously wrong, I feel like the system is set up to make obtaining any accountability nearly impossible. I don't mean that it's intentionally set up that way, but it is the end result, whether by accident or by design. But, even so, I would probably risk it again if I ever had to make a long distance move again (God forbid). This was the only affordable option I found that didn't include me driving a rental truck for days.Ellen L.

I rented this truck for 2pm and got to location just before 2 and a sign said office closed until 2:40. They did come back to office about 2:30, but I sat and waited for them. Then I know this is separate issue, but went back to office about 3:15 to close out storage unit and they were closed again until 4pm. If you aren't going to be there when people request to rent, don't rent at that time. Otherwise everything fineMark D.

Thanks Uhaul! This turned out to be a great option for us based on the size and amount of items we had to pack and move. Renting a moving truck to move the items out of the Ubox and to our home was also a great option as we did not have a vehicle rated to tow the Ubox itself.Robert B.
