Thanks for asking. U-haul provides a great service, however, the practice of clarity with the contract needs to be improved. I was charged for additional mileage even though I didn't realize or hadn't been told that there will be add charges if I went over the stated miles on the contract. This can feel misleading for one who's leasing but on the other hand I guess I should've figured it out after I looked at the contract when I returned the vehicle. Ryder, PenskeKevin S.
Only thing I'd say is that the "needs oil change" warning light text meant you couldn't see the odometer reading, which you needed to submit.... eventually by sheer luck I realized having the door open when you turn the ignition on meant you could now see the odometer reading. Other than that the whole "humanless" experience using the phone was very good.Mark J.

The self check in and check out was burdensome. The process was significantly more challenging than checking in with an agent. If all of my information was presented in advance of arrival, than a code should be provided to simply confirm identity.Mark L.

There were 2 different customer experiences that should be noted in this review: U-Haul & Store Smart. 1. U-Haul: the user flow on your mobile interface is awful. the service does not notify of you when changes happen on the back-end with U-Haul. I was even more disappointed when the U-Haul customer service acknowledged that they receive complaints on a regular basis and yet the corporate office has made no attempts to fix these issues 2. Store Smart The "excellent" rating is directed 100% to your 3rd party provider Store Smart and NOT to U-Haul. Specifically, the 2 staff members (Wendi & Leslie) went out of there way to provide real-time support and accomodate my needs when U-Haul failed. Sadly, U-Haul's business model that has customer support working from remote has led to a detached level of support. And often that leads to 3rd party providers having to "clean up the mess" when U-Haul's services fall short.Noel S.

The location, equipment, and customer service was great. I think U-Haul's price charged per mile driven is excessive. Especially, when you have to return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel in it upon pickup. So customers should be aware, the final price you pay will probably be more than double the price quoted on U-Haul.com.Eric R.

Paul, the employee who assisted us was so wonderful. He was helpful, kind, patient and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed including upgrading our truck to a bigger one. I ordered a 26â€ truck, 12 furniture pads, and a auto carrier. The truck had a check engine light come on about 150 miles from Durham. There were no furniture pads and the owner told me to use sheets, and the auto carrier was not long enough for my truck. I stopped in the store the day before pick-up to ensure everything I ordered would be there the next day. The owner told me everything was in place. She displayed a cavalier attitude throughout our contact which made me think she didn't care about the situation I was in. My sister had to drive my truck to WI. which meant I paid for gas in two vehicles and each of us had to drive 1200 miles alone. I am happy this will be my last move and if it wasn't I would find another moving company, Penske comes to mind.Gregory B.
