my experience was absolutely horrible! didn't have a trailer available after we made an express conformation. tried to send us to a way out of the way location to get one, A guy with a a long grey beard at the Feasterville Pa location was obnoxious and refused to help me. U haul SUCKS! Then on top of that I had to get an open traile and it rained and ruined our furniture U suck!!!

I dont know if it was the location fault or not...but the truck had to be jump started. And couldn't take any different truck because there wasn't any others. And I ended up cancelling my auto transport trailer because it was at a location 20 miles away...which would of added mileage to my rental and add an extra hour to my drive.

I reserved an enclosed 5x8 for pickup on 8 Aug. On the 7th I was told that was not available, so i was upgraded to a 5x9 but was not told it was an open trailer. Early 8 Aug, I called to confirm and that is when i was told it was an open. Had to go ~30 miles to get an enclosed 5x8.

My location was changed from where I originally wanted to pick up from and I was given notice via text only. Over the phone I ordered a utility dolly and when I arrived the sales agent said that it wasn't in my reservation and they did not have one. I was given one price over the phone and was told a different price in person. Because my pick up location was changed not through no fault of my own, my time changed to earlier, my price changed, and my add on was not available. This was my first terrible experience with U-haul. Some times cheaper in NOT always better.

The trailer was old and dirty. The license plate holder was broken with a paper tag that was ready to fall out. I had to tape it. The trailer leaked on my household goods.

I ordered the uhaul May 2 you changed my location 3 times 2 days before pick up you changed it again and the size from a 20 ft to a 26 without notification very upsetting

As other comments show pickup is at Pocono Boat House. The day I went in uhaul website was experiencing problems along with their system at the pickup location. Took about twice as long as it normally takes to get everything squared away.

Great customer service. Used this location because location 1800GOUHAUL booked me had no one there. Would have definitely went here first. Would strongly recommended anyone to come here first with or without a reservation.

The inside of the box truck was filthy with dirt, mud and debris. Clearly Wasn't swept out before I got it. I had to sweep the truck out before putting my furniture in the truck to ensure that my furniture was not going to end up filthy. The sign on the inside of the truck says the policy is that if the truck is not cleaned out before being returned there is a $25.00 cleaning fee. I asked for a discount since I had to clean the truck since they didn't and neither did the last customer and I was told they couldn't give me a discount because there is no option on their end to do any price change or discounts. I left with 3/4 tank of gas and filled it to 3/4 of a take before returning it. The truck was parked on a hill when they checked the truck in and told me that it was at 5/8 not 3/4 of a tank and they wouldn't move it to level ground to verify that it had been correctly filled to 3/4 of a tank of gas. Instead they charged me for gas. I was told it was $8.00 a day for insurance, they charged me $28.00 a day. They told me they couldn't discount anything because they couldn't do it on their end and that I would have to call uhaul to get a discount. They were not helpful at all, everything was "call uhaul, they will help you, they understand and work with their customers to help resolve problems." I feel the owner Tom took advantage of the fact that I had no other choice then to return the uhaul and pay whatever price he wanted me to. It was as if he hit me with every possible fee that he could have. He didn't even give me an option to decline the insurance. After the contract was made up and he handed me the keys I was made aware that the insurance was on the truck. When I saw that it said it was $28 listed under insurance I questioned it and I was assured that $28 was the total for the 3 days I had told them I was going to originally need it for and that it broke down to a little over $8 a day. Had I known it was $28 a day I never would have taken the insurance. Why would I pay more a day for insurance then I was actually paying for the uhaul? It was an overall frustrating experience. I have dealt with uhaul for years and have never felt so taken advantage of. I have never paid so much for a uhaul for such a short period of time. $499 for an in town local uhaul rental of a 10ft box truck for 6 days.. Not even a full 6 days either. It had been picked up at around noon on Monday and returned on Saturday at around 3pm. I am very unhappy and am still waiting to hear from uhaul about a discount.

I reserved a truck and furniture blankets. When I arrived the person normally in charge hadn’t arrived yet and although very nice a gentleman helped me who had no idea what he was doing and needed to call for assistance to help me Rent the truck. I was actually shocked The transaction was complete BUT there were NO furniture blankets. Why let me reserve Them if they aren’t an option

Was not told about the safemove $14. charge. What is it for? We would decline insurance if asked if we want it because our policy covers us. Feel we were cheated and the charge was slipped in.

We were overwhelmed at the incredibly great experience we had with the Summit Motors Inc location at 907 Rte 940, Pocono Lake, PA 18347. We had initially visited several other local U-haul locations in our area but none had the vehicle or equipment we required as far as a special hand-truck with wrap around bands as well as mats/blankets. Summit had it all and the staff went out of their way to make sure we were happy and the vehicle we rented was super clean and mint condition. It handled like a dream! We'll be renting from them again next week since I keep finding 'treasures' on Craigslist that we just happen to really need. We'll recommend them to family, friends and strangers if the opportunity arises. This is not our first experience with this type of service, but it sure has been the OUTSTANDING BEST !!! Many thanks to all of you at Summit U-haul Pat & Craig
