Explain the miles. I used uhaul for the last 10 years and never have I ever paid the amount I was charged for mileage. I'll think twice about using your services again considering other truck companies do not charge the price for mileage.LISA C.

Wasn't clear on reservations where to go for pickup of vehicle. A quick call sorted that out so all good. Customer service rep was great. Only recommendation for ipad or tablet to be used versus phone as it appeared more difficult to navigate through check in process. Other than that, overall good experience. ThanksDavid S.

An estimate quote was provided to me. No information on additional cleaning chargers were provided to me when I picked up the car. They charged me double the quote and the agent at the office slammed the phone down at me without even hearing me out of finding a solution. Never go to this location! Horrible customer service and no etiquette. Van was stinking when we sat in it! Very disappointedMRIDULA S.
If there is some kind of chart to give a rough idea of litres/gallons in relation to the tank size that would be helpful for filling up. The scale in the truck isn't very helpful, I know 1/2 is half a tank. But I don't know how much fuel it takes to fill half a tank. General location is good, but not well identified and was hard to find. Truck was generally clean, but cab could have been cleaned better. Tire was low and needed air. App Pickup was excellent and person from call center was helpfulKeith J.

Well maintained: Yes. Had no problems with the equipment at all and would recommend UHAUL. Clean: No. I gave it a thorough cleaning inside the Cab. So that we could enjoy the cross country move. (But maybe my expectations were too high). Would still recommend UHAUL.Richard S.

First of all this survey is way to basic...the survey needs to be far more specific...i recommend the following categories; -Booking-UHual changed my booking to one day later without my notice, lucky I checked the reservation and changed to original booking date. No availability of 26' moving vehicles, the AC/Defrost did not work -Pickup location-no way of contacting pick up location or staff, this was not acceptable !! No's on website did not work so would recommend accurate up to date info to be available...And I ordered 40 blankets and received only 4 and staff asked me to find another location to find blankets...however I called staff on it and they did find the blankets, after a 6 hr delay, by this time I had already loaded most of my belongings. Staff did not know and did not want to take any responsibility for educating me on auto trailer hookup...staff made suggestions which were not correct on hook up which could of resulted in an auto accident. Proper training of staff is needed ! -At pickup location-I arrived 1.5 hrs before my pick up time arranged with UHaul and found that the staff were about to give away my booking order resulting in a last minute change by staff...this is unbelievable...why staff did not check bookings Im not sure why ????? -Payment receipt for equipment-it took considerable time and calls to get a payment receipt for my booking and higher security is needed as I got a fraudulent text from TD Fraud Alert (with a different purchase figure) indicating a phishing scam ... -Drop off location-I paid for drop off location in my community and was not given any notice of a closed location (in this community) so I had to drive 1 hr to another location. UHaul originally suggested a drop off location over 3 hrs away from my original drop off location, which is unacceptable. UHaul should not of accepted the drop off location at booking timeKEVIN A.

We got there at about 8:50, and waited to log into the website to obtain our truck. The website wouldn't work. Around 9:10 an employee walked around and started trying to check us in. He said the system was down. At 9:44 we finally got our truck. This was 44 minutes into our elevator booking time making our day much more stressful.STUARTWILLIAM A.

I received an e-mail that my pick-up location was at the Leslie St. location, but when I checked in on line at Leslie, I was told that my pick-up location was Sheppard. That was really frustrating. There was supposed to be an email telling me the change to Sheppard, but I never got it. However, once I got to Sheppard, the staff was very helpful and turned a negative experience into a positive one.JILLC C.
This location is amazing, however the U-Haul service was so bad at the The Moving Store, as it was the original pickup location. When I got here and did the online check in, the website went down and I couldn't proceed. The lady at the store couldn't help me and just told me to call Uhaul. After being on hold for 30 mins I was able to do the process at the desk, however my account got flagged. The lady told me to call them again (another 30mins). When I got the flag removed, the lady rented out my truck to someone else. The whole time she was talking down to me and being so rude. I was very upset with this lady and wouldn't recommend her to anyone.Osama A.

I had ordered a 15' truck from 15977 Airport road and at my arrival there wasn't a truck available, so they offered me a truck at 738 Sheppard Ave E, which was an hour drive from the original location. Although the person was helpful at 738 Sheppard Ave E, it does not make up for all the hassle and change of plans. This should not happen if you place an order for a truck.Mario P.
This was the worst rental experience ever. When reserving online, it did not make clear that the location actually has no counter to complete the final steps of the rental. This should be made clear when reserving online, for I would have completed it then or considered a different rental company in the area. The truck felt filthy and I had to wipe off all surfaces before driving it. Ironically, I'm still charged a cleaning fee after! On site, I found the office deserted with a sticky note on the door where to call. After 15 minutes I received a phone call on a crappy line and text messages to complete my reservation, when I had no access to data and need to put my data on, incurring extra costs. Finally, while paying 0.89 per kilometer, as per contract, I'm also charged extra fuel costs of 6l when driving just 16km! All in all, this is not just unreasonable, it is a lesson to never use U Haul again, and never recommend this location to anybody.Michael N.

I reserved for a location 5 minutes away from home. This place was way way hard to get to and far away. Had to take a cab, cost me 35$ and lost 2hrs out of my moving day. Learned that about 24hrs before PU. Not happy about this. Tried to phone customer service, they put me on hold indefinitely. Not happy about this. Once there, no one on site, had to have service over the phone. Very dissatisfied. Also, got a quote without tax, so surprise surprise on final amount to be paid. Who does that? They tried to charge me for furniture pads on my final invoice which I didn't order, receive or use. When questioned, they couldn't verify who had requested the add on, nor could they explain how it happened. Seems shady to me, make sure you check your final invoice.SHANEPHILIPG F.

This is an excellent truck rental location near Bayview and Sheppard. They gave me a brand new van with a backup camera. The customer service was very quick, and courteous. It took only 20 minutes to complete the booking process and pick up.Amratbhai C.

I was actually supposed to pick up a truck at a different location on Steeles Avenue. I made the reservation online for a one-way truck and the U-Haul website indicated that the truck was guaranteed. Nobody contacted me beforehand to tell me otherwise. When we arrived, the person there said that they did not have any 10' one-way trucks and they were unable to send us with anything as they had no one-way trucks. I explained that it had been guaranteed online but he said that it was a company issue and that his specific location could not provide me with a one-way service. I would have to return to truck to that city. He did call customer service and explained the issue and they were able to locate me a one-way truck at a nearby location. Once at the Sheppard location, there was nobody in the office and I had to leave a message on the machine and wait for someone to call me back to explain where to find the truck and how to proceed. They also informed me that while my reservation had included a furniture dolly and mats, the truck there were providing me did not have these because the previous renter did not return them. If I wanted these add-ons, I would have to drive to pick them up at another location. The whole things was quite a fiasco and I would never again do any online booking through this company. They clearly do not respect their customers enough to notify them that their online order could not be fulfilled.DAVIDW W.

Make sure the customer knows not to put key in return box until after they complete the mobile return. Kind of hard to take pictures after the truck is locked and key is in box. I had specifically ordered a dolly with the truck which I really could of used with my move since I had a lot of heavy things and there was a bit of distance between the parking lot and the townhouse that I was moving to. The customer rep told me over the phone that there was nothing he could do about it since the previous customer hadn't returned it. I do understand that these things could happen, but in order to provide satisfactory customer service there needs to be prompt proactive action on the company's part to ensure that everything customer has ordered are available and not missing. The truck didn't seem in really good shape mechanically speaking. It did drive ok, but there was a warning sign on the dash saying "Oil change is due". That's certainly a red flag that these trucks aren't maintained very well. Another pointer to ensure ultimate customer satisfaction is making sure these trucks are well maintained mechanically and safe to drive. Finally, the customer reps weren't the most helpful with some questions and concerns that I had considering that this was my first time renting/driving a U-Haul truck. Not too mention the frustrating Covid measures that everything has to be done over the phone and offices is closed and can't deal with an actual person since it's a lot more easier and seamless.Daniel N.

UHaul website needs to be more user friendly. Scheduled to drop off at Rexdale but realized Sheppard is closer. Tried to change my contract online but unable to do so. Dropped off at Sheppard and was told by staff at location that it is fine. Received called from Rexdale 3 hours later telling me that I will be charged $1,000 for dropping off at the wrong location. Told me to go and pick up the truck and drive across town to return the truck to their location. Called 1800 but was on hold for 55mins. Got issue clarified and resolved at no additional cost to me. Appreciate that. Luckily I was patient enough to wait on the phone to talk to someone, else I would have to go and pick up the truck to drive it all the way or risk paying $1,000 for a $300 rental. Internal investigation should be conducted on this matter as the treat is convincing especially when UHaul has my credit card detail and the staff appears to be very willing to charge my card any amount at their discretion.Han Wei C.
I brought the truck back to Cornwall on Vincent Massey Drive location. Truck filled with gas and now they are charging me 56 dollars more when I paid over 75 dollars to fill it. It was just an office that was impossible to find. No one was available to support or help With equipment. Was not told it would be a contactless pickup. I had to search for the key inside the vehicle The tow trailer was extremely rusty. The straps would not come undone nor would the ratchet work. We have to oil it ourselves before we could use it. I moved from Ontario to BC. It was just a very unsettling experience as I was unsure how ready the equipment was and there was no one around to ask these questions toSheridan A.

My first booking was at 4:30 at 100 steeles ave. west and the compartment key code provided to me did not work and after an hour of trying and waiting on the call for a U-Haul representative to guide me on what to do, finally I was provided with another booking at another location. Although I had no issues at the new location, overall this was an unpleasant process and I won't be recommending others to go through it.Nima S.
