When i dropped vehicle off I assumed we were going to go out to vehicle together to do some type of inspection, I asked clerk is there anything we need to go over e we good and to my surprise his response with a smile I might add , was yes we are good and no need to go over anything i will receive an email That email was received after midnight and when I woke up the next day and read it I was Extremely confused and upset I had an An unauthorized charge of almost $50 to my account I called to see why I received this charge with zero prior notifications . The first answer he gave me was , to replace the gas and I said no no no I put $20 in it , his second answer was , I went over miles And I thought maybe I'll accept that I may have gone over a few miles but not nearly $50 worth , so When hisi first and second answer didn't make sense , I was put on hold for almost an hour so I hung up and immediately called back and Now he has had time to come up with a third excuse he Gave me was I was late bringing the vehicle back I thought we had agreed on 5 o'clock he said it was four I was in such a hurry i honestly can't be 100% sure , but I wasn't that late because I had a doctors appointment I had to be at and we made that doctors appointment 10 minutes late but we made it I am curious why none of these extra fees were mentioned to me as we were going over there details of the rental I did say something to the gentleman about nothing being mentioned about Any type of Financial penalties he tells me it's in the fine print OH The fine print that I need a Magnifying glass to read that fine print. I feel that my time sensitive situation was used against me I don't was very obvious that I was stressed about the time It was a very shady and unprofessional experience The email being sent after midnight Was ridiculous It only takes a few moments to go over extra charges with someone Even out of common courtesy I feel like it was with health purposes it may not have been but that's how It felt. To make Things much worse I can't even speak to a manager until Tuesday because there Is no one available until then just To remind you I rented the van on Tuesday I feel deceived and that my Situation was taking a vantage of that information was intentionally withheld from our conversation There was ample opportunity For you to make clearly aware of these penalties Yeah what I have cost you an extra 30 seconds of your day I got 30 seconds when I made a difference with this customer You may not have intentionally Done any of these things But that is how I feel I hope no other customer walks away from your company feeling the same way And just to let you know I had every intention of renting again from U-Haul on Saturday and Sunday the seventh and eighth , well obviously reasons I did not I've used a different rental company instead and that experience was 100% better.ELIZABETH C.
This is the second time I've had to use photo evidence. (This time with my walk around video and start up) to show gas and save myself a 12 dollar charge for gas despite already filling past the previous start location. Additionally, it took 30 minutes to resolve a technical issue that involved hitting the wrong check box for out of state license. Furthermore, the car wheel indicator was reporting an issue. They reported it being a false positive and that it was awaiting a technician. Not sensing anything on the initial road I continued and wanted the highway. Once I was on the highway a significant drift to the right (requiring 1/4th a wheel turn) to go straight) I exited the highway and returned the vehicle prior to concluding my business. (Using back roads) Upon informing the attendant. They drove it around the gas station. (Same test I did) and reached similar conclusion that it doesn't appear significant here when you are making 4 right turns. I am informed I am being charged and encounter the gas dispute and the video from the start shows what the real level was. (And lucky he was the one who loaned it to me, as if evidence would be less credible if you deal with two people at this establishment) Final insult was this was reported to uhaul as â€œgas disputeâ€ ignoring the real problems associated with this encounter and chancing multiple peoples plans, being charged (and attempted to swindled) for a service not provided and what was provided was unsafe and treated like trash as a customer.Brian B.

Have the tanks FULL before you leave so that you're not guessing how much fuel to put in and still get charged. That's bullshit!Patrick B.

The Wickliffe, Ohio location was the worst experience I ever had with U-Haul in 10-15 years. The truck was filthy, parked in backwards, so i had to wait till I found a ground guide to safely move the vehicle, None of the equipment I reserved (pads and dolly) were there when I arrived. When I returned the truck, the guy behind the counter was rude and unwilling to do a walk around the truck and confirm the mileage while I was on site. Said, "I will do it later.." despite repeated requests to complete the task while I was present. You should consider pulling your equipment from this site. I will recommend my friends use Penske or someone else but avoid this location period!Bryan B.

No dollies or furniture pads available as advertised online. The dashlight tire icon is was activated to add air to the front right tire. I did add air, but the light didn't go off. Clerk said it was probably a sensor. I was worried the whole time I was driving it.Angela H.

Will update after all charges are accounted for. I was informed of a charge that is not on the official receipt. Rep Mohammed seemed more interested in spending time on a mobile device / answering calls and texts instead of providing accurate information unless asked specifically. My wife and I have used Uhaul as our go to in the past and this is the only location that I will go out of my way to avoid. Trucks were both disgusting, inside and out. (cab and cargo bay, sticky soda on dash and in cup holders and on the floor amongst bottle caps and trash like plastic shopping bags. there were screws and candy all over the floor of the cargo bay and the "attic" area was unusable due to pooled water)JOHN B.
When turning the vehicle on for the 2nd time the gas gage showed differently. Reported it to the attendant with photo's as well. They told me they would report it to their uhaul rep. I used the vehicle for 16 miles. Put 2 gallons in at the pump prior to returning the vehicle. Took the time to talk to the rep and explained the info a 2nd time. I was then charged for an additional 2 gallons by the rep. I'm amazed these apparently only get 4 miles to the gallon. I'm more astounded that the rep didn't take any of my concerns into consideration. It then led to me on a 50 minute call to try and resolve. Still waiting on replies. Overall a terrible experiences.Brian B.

There was black ice on the truck back step, very, very slippery and dangerous. the dash said that a tire needed air but when i went inside, they said it was broken. why was i charged 39.90 instead of the quoted 19.95? Not a great experience,RAY S.

The equipment was "somewhat" clean. Whomever rented the van previously left muddy footprints, especially in the cargo area. As the van was new, it was in excellent condition. The clerk was alone and not only handled rentals, but gas station/mini-mart customers as well. Wouldn't go as far as to not recommend this location to somebody, but the interruptions and issues with checking out/checking in the equipment delayed processing.ROBERT H.
