There was a wire hanging down from the power line, and most people would have not seen it... I saw it, noticed it was live, but could have damaged my truck... Building needs some work as outside was pretty shabby.

Poor location dirty old building with broken glass. No one there and finally a man showed up and hollowed at me to just leave it there and walked away to his house next door.

Tt this lhis is the second time I have dropped a trailer at this location. neither time was there anyone there even though both times it was during their scheduled hours. There was a sign on the wall and I had to call and was told just to leave the trailer. This makes me very uncomfortable since they didn't check it in if someone would drive by and steel it or damage it I'm sure there would be issues.

The rental agent at the location was delightful and cared that we were actually satisfied. A lot of businesses/people do not care anymore if the customer is satisfied, they just want the money once and do not care if you will return with more business. She cares and that is refreshing.

Great rental experience quick and easy process. Rental trailer (6x12) was in good shape and just inspected by uhaul fleet personnel prior to my trip.

should have been open.no one there.called and she said leave it with her not there.And to leave the paperwork which was my only copy.I left it but was concerned it may be stolen on me.The tow dollys are very hard to maneuver

No one to assist with hooking up a trailer. I had to go and find a friend and bring them back with me to be able to hitch the trailer to my truck. The tongue weight was too much for me to lift alone.

The last 2 times I have rented a u haul,,, there is something wrong with the trucks,, small things. Last year I rented a u haul from hays, the high beam went out while I was driving, n the man charged. Me for it. This time the brakes squeaked n the passenger tire was wobbly. It's no big deal, just letting u know all about safety. Thank you for having these trucks, they help out a lot. Have a good day.

I had another drop off location first there was no office no one there tried to caall number and there was no answer. This location there was no one there , the building looked abandon there were several phone numbers on the wall which I had to call 2 to get an answer. Then the lady that answered said her back was out and asked me to just drop the trailer next to the others which had weeds and such growing around them. I felt uncomfortable leaving it without a receipt but did so and I guess it worked out okay. But I felt like I left myself open to liability n case someone would have come and stolen or damaged it it before she got there. Neither of these places looked like businesses or propfessional.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The rental paperwork was quick. I was very pleased with this business. The only improvement UHaul might make is to have more of the 6x12 cargo trailers available for rent. That size was great and this rental facility was the only one of about 10 in my area that had this size available. I was lucky it was not already rented out.

My original pick up was on west d street and due to a sickness the people running could not be there but said the owner would meet me at 8:00 AM. At 8:10 I called the owner to inquire as to where he was and he told me I had to wait until noon. I called uHaul and was able to pick up at a different location. It was further away so it cost me $12 more. Plus, due to the delay we could not get the truck loaded in time for my cousin to drive it to Chsrlotte for me in time fit him to get to his evening job. I had to call a friend to drive after work from Charlotte to Wilkes and then rent a trailer that uHaul quoted at $89 and then I was charged $119 to get his car back to Charlotte. So I will NOT pick uHaul for my next move since they cost me $12+$119=$131.00 plus a lot is stress!

Scheduled drop off time was 4pm but company closed at noon, so I dropped of keys in the after hours Dropbox. The only concern I had was that I also had blankets and a dolly in the back of the truck and as there was no way to lock the uhaul trailer over night I worried that they could be stolen, I checked the next day and there weren't any additional charges so I guess all went well, my only suggestion would be to include a secure location for additional equipment.

I have rented over 10 car from national car rental agency's and this was not even one of your U-Haul Building and I have never been treated better of given as much help and courtesy at any rental place. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR SWITCHING ME TO Miller Creek instead of Boone North Caroline.

I arrived at the rental location, C&R Cars in North Wilkesboro, N.C., promptly at 8 a.m. to pick up my reserved truck. Their sign said "Closed", but I went to the door and they were open. The woman behind the counter said they had no truck for me. The people who had “my” truck were late returning it, and the truck on the lot had “already been paid for” by someone else who wasn’t due in until later. She was a kindly and sympathetic person, but she seemed to have no clue about what to do next. There are several other U-Haul dealers in the area, but she did not have their phone numbers written down anywhere, and did not connect with the regional reservation center. While she shuffled around looking up phone numbers, responding to her husband hollering from the garage, and trying to see what other trucks were available, her daughter’s boyfriend chased her daughter around the messy waiting area with a toy gun as a puppy scampered under foot. After about 20 minutes of this, I left unhappy and truckless. I went home and called the toll-free number, as she should have done to start with, and found out there was a truck available at Wilkes Power Equipment, a U-Haul dealer about ten miles away. The rental site was supposed to be open, but I dialed the number repeatedly and no one answered. Desperate, I drove out to the rental site. It was closed. A sign on the door had a phone number to call for service. I called and a nice older lady came over to help. We conducted business in a cold unheated backroom of a chain saw repair shop. I was just thankful to get a truck of any description at this point, even if it was the wrong size and two hours late.

I have never had as bad of an expereince as I had with this. I called Uhaul and reserved this truck only to arrive at the the establishment on time to find that the person running the it was not there. I waited in the rain, calling Uhaul and having them try to track the person down. While standing outside in the rain for 45 minutes a Cox Cable delivery man came by and after 5 phone calls tracked the lady down who ran the business. She wasn't at the store because she was grocery shopping. When she arrived she spoke to someone at Uhaul, and after speaking to them proceeded to get rather nasty with me for interrupting HER grocery shopping. She was rude and quite hostile to me for 10 minutes before finally renting me the truck. I would have left and gone to another Uhaul or company altogether but I was out of time for the day. When she finally did rent the truck to us our receipt was written on a scrap piece of paper. Their was duck tape on the celing to catch flies. It was dirty everywhere. The truck itself was nasty! When I arrived at our destinaton to load my furniture I had to spend an hour cleaning it out to get the mess cleaned up and then had to keep the doors open for another 25 minutes to get the smell out. The truck had mechancial issues that made it difficult to drive. Overall I have never had as bad of a customer service issue as I had with this.

When I picked up the truck, it was supposed to have 1/4 tank of fuel but it was almost empty. The gas light was on and I barely made it less than 2 miles to the gas station. The mileage out reading was incorrect. The receipt showed the mileage to be 63001.0 but it was actually 63013.2. I showed the lady at Wilkes Power Equipment the gas reading and mileage and she gave me $20 to put gas in the truck. She adjusted the ending mileage to reflect the difference in the shown miles because she couldn't change the mileage out on the computer. I was happy with the vehicle and the service from this business and Mrs. Miller is a very kind lady and made everything right with the paperwork. This is the first time I've ever used a rental vehicle to move anything. I moved a piano this time. I will definitely remember and use U-Haul if I ever need to move anything again in the future.

Our complaint is not about either location. We are very dissatisfied in Uhaul because the truck we rented did not have working air conditioner and we traveled 5 hrs on a 90 degree day. We left the truck clean and with more gas than required. I called to voice a complaint and was told that a field manager would contact me. That has not happened. I was also told by the agent on the phone that tie downs are not included in the trucks, but they are certainly advertised on the back of the truck we used. I do not think we should be charged full price for a truck that was substandard! I DO think that Uhaul should respond to my phone call. I would not recommend Uhaul to anyone at this point!

The uhaul was almost on empty when I got it I called the 1-800 number and they told me I still had to put more gas in the truck than was in it when I got it I picked the truck up and it was below 1/4 tank when I brought it back I had to fill it up ti 3/8 of a tank

I had made the reservation to pick up the truck in Galax, VA and was told the day before my move that I would need to drive to Miller's Creek, NC (65 miles each way) to pick up the truck. You did give me a diacount and an extra day and extra miles with the truck, but I would have prefered the three hours on the day before moving to finish getting ready.

The office is very shabby and unprofessional in appearance. Not the first impression most businesses would prefer. However, the representative was knowledgeable and friendly. The location was too far away from my home, which added mileage to my bill. I wouldn't recommend this location to others who live in the same area.

The Lady that I rented the truck from was OVER the top nice.Great communication, was very fast and clear with contracts. I would HIGHLY recommend this location to ANYONE.
