I drove down from NJ to NC. My reservation was with another company. I went to the building and my access code didnt work. Someone else let me in and the assigned unit was occupied. I was furious. I immediately called Uhaul, got a unit that was ready. A plus service. That other company was so unprofessional UHaul was able to help me out tremendously on a Sunday!!.

ALMAELISA P | Overall ExperienceHitting someone's debit card after a phone call explaining financial difficulties and payment would be done in full in 4 days. Jeremiah felt he could hit someone's card without authorization which is against the law. I intend to report this to the BBB. I have used Uhaul for many years for moving & storage some of your employees should be removed. I spoke to Alexis and explained on Wednesday payment would be done by Sunday, it was. On Thursday not even 24 hours later, my card got hit which it didn't process because the money wasn't there, then the phone call came from Jeremiah who feels he has full authority to tap into the card for payment. Apparently the right hand doesn't talk to the right hand. I layed into him and he said he has all legal rights to try and get money even after I called and spoke to HIS employee. I will never do business with Uhaul again after that.
Jane T | Overall ExperienceI used the facility to hold 17 5x7 rugs I had from a move. They were cleaned before going in. When I went back after two months later there were roaches all in the storage unit and crawling all on my rugs. I took the next month trying to get rid of them on my own - UHaul said there was nothing they could do. After several sprayings the bugs were down and I took all my rugs to Durham County waste and threw them away. There was no way I could put them in my house or donate them. I wasted three months or rental fees, the cost of UHaul rental to discard them, and wasted the money to buy all my rugs. I would not recommend the use of this site to anyone. The facility looked clean - I don’t know if the roaches came from someone else’s unit or if they were in there. I do know they did not offer to spray or offer any concessions when I reported the issue. My only issue was roaches -
