I needed and reserved a INDOOR storage unit. After arriving and paying for and unloading all my possessions found out the storage unit I was rented already was full of someone else's belongings. They told me they had no more indoor units, and proceeded to put me in a unit OUTSIDE away from their location. Then they increased my rent. Today I went to move out and had to shovel snow for 1/2 just to get access. I'll never use uhaul again.

sharon w | Overall ExperienceUpon arrival, we got a storage unit and when we got to it, it had a tag on it saying you cannot enter due to non payment. The man came and unlocked it and I asked "there wont be anything in there?" And he said no, its for the homeless. So he drove away and we opened it and it had other people's empty boxes and ripped chairs in it. So we emptied it and swept it. Definitely someone wasn't paying to store that in a 15' storage unit. Also, we're going to charge $58 for a 1/4 tank under what it was supposed to be even with that inconvenience AND the truck would not turn on after gas ups while driving from Abbotsford to Edmonton. It had to cool down before we could even drive again.

anna r | Overall ExperienceRented me a storage unit that was already rented. When I arrived with my belongings I found a lock already on the unit. Apparently last people didn't leave. No other storage units available. Was forced into an outside unit a ways from the location I had reserved Amateur hour. Serious lack of professionalism. Never fails. While renting storage from uhaul things will go sideways. First time was a flood. Second a fire. Now I get an already rented unit. Staff needs to confirm availability. Not happy.
Lowell W | First ImpressionsThere was a little mishap with the storage unit. I got in later afternoon. I thought the closing time was 8:00pm. I got my truck rental. Drove to my other unit. Loaded up and drove to my new unit. Arrived after 7:30pm. There was a lock on my unit. "Ready for tenant" label on it. Checked the office. It was closed at 7:00 and couldn't find anyone still there. I drove the truck up front, parked, took the key and locked it up so I could come back in the morning to put my stuff in my unit. The lady unlocked it and we got it done. She also extended the truck rental so I had time to unload.
