They let me reserve a unit that was non existent, then they give me the option of a 5 x 5 or a 10 x 20 and i need the exact dimensions of a 9 x 10 x 8, but that was unavailable. then when i finally get my new storage unit the 10 x 20, it’s absolutely trashed. I payed $40 more for a mess to clean up.

I reserved a 5x5 unit, and when I arrived I was told there were none available and the next smallest size that was available was $30 more. The unhelpful staff member was obviously stoned and talked to me in a slow monotone voice that betrayed his feeling of hating his job. I would hate it too if I worked there. When I arrived at the storage facility, it was in terrible condition and complete disarray. The gate was completely open and obviously damaged in a way that would not let it close, leaving it open to the public 24/7. My storage unit was half carpeted and completely unclean. The building it was in was dilapidated. The door latch was attached with a piece of 2x4 that could easily be pried off. I do not feel like my possessions are safe at all.

I made a reservation (Confirmation #826030-00103689) for a storage unit at the advertised rate of $39.95 per month. However, when I arrived at the customer service location to check in—as required—I was informed that the unit I had reserved was not available. I was instead told that I would need to rent a different unit at $89.95 per month, more than double the rate I had reserved. This situation feels like a bait-and-switch: I made a good-faith reservation at the advertised price, only to be told upon arrival that the promised unit was unavailable and that I would have to pay significantly more. This is both frustrating and unacceptable. I am requesting that U-Haul honor the original reservation rate of $39.95 per month or offer a comparable remedy. I believe this is a fair and reasonable resolution given the circumstances and U-Haul’s stated policy of honoring reservations. Please let me know how you intend to resolve this issue. JAS S | First ImpressionsThis facility had a live on site (within the gated area) person and the gate was stuck shut 8 out of 10 times I tried accessing belongings in winter time. None of the employees at the main store seemed to be able to figure out how to get a key fob for this location to work after 4 attempts to do so. The owner of the branch seems concerned about collecting rent but not about correctly addressing or operations. Additionally trying to move out of the unit was almost impossible since you couldn't get in. I moved out of this unit almost a year ago now and recently got a notice to pay a bill for astorage I dont have with Uhaul. I paid a settlement fee and moved out long ago. Upon calling the main location a couple days ago I learned my account was still open as though I was still occupying space. Very unprofessional. Hopefully my account was closed properly this time so I can be done with this division of Uhaul.
