Overall the experience was good. Alex especially was very helpful and kind throughout the process and tried to make it as easy as possible to move out of the storage unit. My unit was clean and secure for about 10 years while I lived in a different state. There were a few issues - while in person customer service is good, I found it VERY difficult to ever contact them via phone or email. If they don't pick up the phone it auto-directs you to the main uhaul menu. Any emails I sent went unanswered. Also, my parent's unit had been broken into at one point. They were alerted at the time, but it was very inconvenient and disappointing to try to go through boxes when they had all been sliced open on the sides and the contents spilling out. I believe some items were stolen at that time as well.

My first paid it to make my initial payment. The woman lied to me about my lock and did not explain herself very well. When I told her I would come in in the morning time to show them my luck I did and I found out that she canceled my access card. My second visit to show the office person nail my lock. The gentleman looked at me like he didn’t know what I was talking about clearly, that was another lie. He also didn’t explain so very well. Show me where my locker was at. He kept repeating itself as I say left or right the a building is on the right side, kept telling me no listen. And kept repeatedly telling me that he’s busy he’s busy. We went to my locker. They gave me a top lock didn’t give me an option. I changed it to a bottom lock. He hooked and puffed and made body expression is that he didn’t want to do it.
