I am writing to formally express my extreme disappointment regarding my experience at your location today. I have moved many times and have always relied on U-Haul, but the service and equipment I received today were shockingly subpar, leaving me completely underwhelmed and frustrated. My experience began with significant delays. There were multiple people in line, and I waited over 10 minutes for the representative to assist the customer ahead of me. I watched as he personally showed that customer to their vehicle and explained the process. However, when it was my turn, I was not afforded any of the same professional courtesy. I was not notified that I needed to perform a self-inspection or a formal checkout of the vehicle; consequently, that step was missed entirely because I was never directed to do it. The mechanical condition of the truck I was assigned was frankly dangerous. To reach even 20 or 30 mph, the engine revved excessively with the RPMs spiking to 4,000. The truck struggled to accelerate, making merging into traffic feel incredibly unsafe. I was deeply uncomfortable behind the wheel, but because my movers were arriving at 2:30 PM, I felt pressured to proceed with the faulty equipment to avoid late fees or additional labor costs. When I returned the truck to move my items into my storage unit, the customer service I received at the front desk was equally disappointing. While the representative was polite, she was ultimately unhelpful and appeared entirely unconcerned with my safety reports. On a scale of one to five, this experience was a one. It is the company’s responsibility to ensure trucks are in top mechanical shape and that customers are properly briefed on inspection protocols. Because of the stress, the safety risks, and the lack of basic customer service, I am requesting that you waive the gas fee and any associated service charges for the fuel. I drove less than 15 miles, and given the circumstances, I believe this is the bare minimum required to address this inconvenience. I am not leaving as a happy customer, and I hope you will take the necessary steps to rectify this situation and adjust my final bill. I look forward to your prompt response.

U-Haul did the transfer. When I went to the facility after the move my found both units packed to the ceiling with no spare space. That makes it not useable. Did they expect me to move items out in the hallway to get at my stuff. I have not talked to the management yet but the manager has seen the mess. This is just plain wrong

Someone did confirm that it would be there upon my arrival, it was thrown out. Not only that, I reserved much larger storage unit and someone still gave my reservation away. No compensation or change was made despite me being a long time customer AND a U.S. Retired Veteran. Overall dissatisfied. One of the most poorly managed U-Haul locations I’ve been to.
