I lost all my belongings in the fire and got no reimbursement for the 2 wks i had no storage or belongings anymore that was paid already.

Artrell J | Overall ExperienceMy experience with Uhaul (1500 S. 1st) was the worst experience I have ever had. I rented 2 storage units over 5 years ago to have my shoes, clothes, and sports memorabilia secure. However, unit #3113 was broken into by what it appears to be internal employees. The lock was not broken off, the alarm didn’t go off, and they used a ladder to climb through the top while avoiding all the cameras. With that being said, I was robbed for over $15,000 in shoes, jackets, clothes, and sports memorabilia. The manager Amir Harris was not helpful, had a terrible attitude unprofessional, cynical and didn’t care to help me with my problem. I have now been informed that U-Haul will not reimburse me for any of my belongings. I am still in shock that I was robbed, have not been reimbursed, and nobody has been held accountable. Please investigate this situation, reimburse me for what was stolen, and hold someone accountable for this crime. Stella Del Portillo
Stella M | Overall ExperienceThey sold my belongings. They only notified me after they had already sold them. I had a payment plan, and they didn't respect the agreement. The policy states that after three months of non-payment, they have the right to sell the items. I was two months behind on payments because I'm currently in a difficult financial situation. They didn't respect the agreement, and I will file a lawsuit because my tools were worth $7,000 to $8,000, and they sold them for $180. I had been a customer for years, and they couldn't even wait until the three months were up. I will file a complaint with BBVA to initiate a lawsuit for the value of my tools.
