Hello Mr Landon Barks My name is Melise McElrath. I am a disabled customer with a pending Workmen’s Comp case and an ankle injury currently under doctor care. I am writing because U-Haul is refusing to honor a quote given to me by your agent Teresa in April 2026. Facts: I told Teresa I needed a truck from Creve Coeur MO 63141 to Phoenix AZ 85018. She quoted me $1,170 for a 26ft truck + car trailer. I accepted and set up reservation #( was never given) Teresa mistakenly entered “Alabama or Arkansas in the computer instead of Phoenix. When I was in 3 days ago to confirm, she corrected the reservation to Phoenix AZ 85018. Without informing me that she had in fact changed the reservation I didn’t know until it was time for me to pick up the truck that I had two reservations. Now your local GM and Scheduling Manager are refusing the $1,170 price. They offered $3,000, then $2,100, claiming “nothing can be done” because of the original typo. I do not have $2,100 or $3,000. I budgeted for $1,170 based on the verbal quote I received from your agent. My Request: I am asking you to honor the $1,170 Phoenix AZ reservation that Teresa gave me and corrected 2 days ago. This was your employee’s data entry error, not mine. I am a disabled customer relying on this move to start medical treatment in Phoenix. If U-Haul cannot honor the $1,170 quote, please provide me with a written denial so I can file a complaint with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office for bait-and-switch pricing and the Better Business Bureau. I would prefer to resolve this with U-Haul. I have a friend whom I paid for airfare $276 came from Georgia to help me drive, and we are ready to move. I could have gotten a bigger unit at extra storage for the first month free and only $80 a month thats $120 difference. The same type of unit everything! Ppl are barely able to survive and pay rent these days, for a storage unit fee to be $200 a month. Ill never go to uhaul again. Ever!

They stated they did not know who the unit belongs too, but they took my money out of the bank. I had to wait until the next business day to enter the unit but it was no question as to me paying my fees. I also received a phone call to pay for another month of storage when I had already moved out. I would not recommend this facility.

Lesa H | First ImpressionsWas given a unit...when I went to unload found that unit had a lock on it. Nobody at the rental desk seemed to know whether it was rented or not, or could figure out how to know. They gave me a second unit located in a much less desirable location without giving me any clue how to find this unit (this unit was not in the main rental building, and was actually in a building separate from the main Uhaul compound. NO explanation that I would not be able to use the drive up doors closest to my unit (there's no key pad for entry). The keypads are in the front of the building but I had to entry my code in two separate pads to gain entry. Again no explanation at any point. Unit has a rat trap inside? Not sure if that is from the last renter or if that means I should expect mice?
