I had storage at this faculty for six years. The faculty itself is clean, secure, and well maintained. I would have continued to store here, but the monthly storage fees kept increasing. When I moved into a 5 x 10 the standard rate was around $90.00 a month which is relatively reasonable, Then, especially within the last few years it has consistently increased to $150.00 a month. Some may claim that expenses go up which all landlords do to justify a rent increase, yet the size of the space itself and the building did not change. Electricity is inexpensive in San Diego. So what are people paying an additional $60.00 a month for? Absolutely nothing. We were just being gouged hoping people don’t want to be bothered with moving a lot of items and will just stay put. Well, no, I don’t take kindly to being gouged especially when I receive nothing more than I already had for the additional rent. It’s about time people stop being greedy going with whatever the market will support and start caring about keeping loyal customers who paid their rent on time for years. Oh, but that would take good business sense and decency. Thus, farewell, and I’m glad I’m not being taken advantage of anymore.

The young kid that’s tall with a blonde brown hair does not treat Customer as well and the woman with the blonde hair short will talk to you like your her child and tuck down to you. I’m pretty sure she’s the one that didn’t put it in there that I was leaving. Because I literally told her and she saw me packing the 26 foot truck.
Frank H | Overall ExperienceUnfortunately, after all of the great assistance from your staff with renting my storage space and with processing my payment with my gift certificate and helping me after hours on Friday, 5/30/2025, Crystal and Ritchie helped me out, I had to cancel the storage rental because the storage unit was too small. I saw the storage space on Saturday 5/31/25, and realized that it was too small and another staff member assisted me with cancelling my storage space. I appreciate all of your teams help with everything. On 5/31/2025 1 of your employees also helped me by checking other U-Haul locations for larger storage spaces since the Clairemont Mesa store had no larger spaces available for me to rent at that time. I was interested in a VAN BODY 20 foot or 26 foot, but there were none available. Thanks for all the great help!!! I'll be sure to check my account for the refund of my payment back to my gift certificate.
