Everything was excellent except for one time that elevator broke it was down for 2 weeks which was very inconvenient, but other than that it wasn't a wonderful experience

I wasn’t aware the unit would be a regular door rather then the normal sliding door for unit that size
Tawnya B | Online Move InStaff made it difficult to access my unit, was placed on restriction several times. Once for accessing a second unit too frequently, and the other for my pregnant girlfriend using the bathroom longer than the gm allowed. Gm discrimination and didn’t follow legal guidelines for tenant landlord laws in Washington. Removed my access illegally and didn’t give me required notice in writing before removing my access, causing me to loose money paid renting a van and hiring help to move out of my unit which I couldn’t access without required notice. When I called to figure out what was going on I received text messages instead of a call back. Here are those messages: Uhaul Gm: You where placed on structured access due to misuse of the facility this was explained this morning your girlfriend. Me: I'm the owner of the unit, nothing was explained to me. What is the misuse of facility? Please explain in detail Gm: Using the restrooms for residential use Me: Explain what that means, because I didn't even use your restrooms last night. Me: I have a pregnant girlfriend waiting for me in an empty apartment we just got into, waiting for me to bring home our bed because she can't bare to sleep on the floor again Me: I rented a large van and have hired help I need to get our things man, this is ridiculous! Gm: You and your friend like to hang out in the restrooms for hour or more on multiple occasions. This is a storage facility. Gm: You're more than welcome to come back at 7 am when we open. Me: If the friend you are talking about is my girlfriend, she is 5 months pregnant and has Hyperemesis Gravidarum, a severe form of nausea and vomiting during pregnancy that can cause dehydration and weight loss. On a daily basis she is so sick that she can't keep down anything she puts in her stomach and has been hospitalized Twice already from its complications. She is also severely constipated to the point she spends hours in the bathroom everywhere she uses one, it's a horrific set of circumstances for our family, how could you cut off access to us without even having a conversation with us about it. Last time I checked, using the bathroom for an hour isn't a crime nor can I find anything in your rules or see any signs posted about a limit to the length of time you're allowed to spend having a bowel movement. Me: Sean, this is (removed) tenant of Unit #0509. I am fully paid up on rent and also pay for 24-hour access. Under RCW 19.150, a storage operator may only deny access if the tenant is in default, which I am not. Locking me out without written notice is unlawful. Your reasoning about “residential use” of restrooms does not apply, and my partner’s extended restroom use is due to a documented medical condition (Hyperemesis Gravidarum), which may also fall under ADA protections. Denying access without considering this is discriminatory. I demand my access to Unit #0509 be restored no later than 10:00 PM tonight. If it is not, I will call the police to restore access and will also file a complaint with the Washington Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division for violations of RCW 19.150 and ADA protections. Please confirm access is restored immediately. Me: You cannot discriminate against a pregnant woman for needing more bathroom time than you alone are comfortable with, and what you have done is illegal. No further responses from the GM, had to reach out to the regional manager to get my access restored. Besides that, people without access regularly sneak/break in after hours and when the alarm goes off nothing happens. No police no security just a 30 second alarm goes off then nothing happens afterward.
steven s | Overall ExperienceThe service is amazing and I give most of the facility 5 stars. My issue and the reason for the 1 star is the unit itself. I got a 5x5x10 because I only have a few pieces of furniture I needed to store and didn't want to spend a lot of money to store it. I measured everything and calculated my cubic feet requirements and everything should have fit with not much room to spare. The issue is the unit is not actually 5x5 and this lack exact measurements meant my furniture would not fit as planned and beyond the dimensions not being accurate there are things taking up space in the unit such as: the roll up door, metal plating, and a rodent trap. This also cost me valuable inches. It took hours and a trip back the next day to get everything in and be able to close the door. Also the big doors don't open after the main business hours so even though it wasn't that late (only 7:30pm) I had to bring the furniture in through the smaller door for people. I will say again though, my experience with the staff was beyond excellent I am just upset at the unexpected lack of exact measurements in my unit.

I was Advised to take stairs - so unit was still available. I am 75 with bad knees and had to hire someone to help me move into a ground level unit. Staff tried to be kind but imagine they were dealing with hundreds of unhappy people. They offered no help.

The manager that I knew there he had left they bought in a new one but the employees that they had there was all teenagers they had no respect for the elderly there Attitude.. The elevator was off the 3 - 4. month I couldn't get my stuff out until this month. WHEN ASK ABOUT IT THEN HAD GOTTEN MAD EVRYONE ASKING ABOUT . Leslie W | Overall ExperienceThis place is one of the single most worst experience of my life. They do not upkeep their equipment. I had a 25 foot storage unit upstairs that I run a business from. This facility left their only elevator in this building inoperable for 2 full months causing multiple people that I talked with to either fall or trip down the stairs because they had no other way to get their belongs. This trapped myself and others at a facility I personally needed to and wanted to move out of. This with the fact that they do not maintain their truck rental equipment for safety and poor management, makes this Uhaul the the worst company and or facility I have ever had the displeasure to have experienced personally.

I came back the next day and another employee was very helpful in guiding me to the correct access points.

Something i did wanna Let you guys know my boyfriend got me a trailer for you guys, and I went to return it last night and there was this Hispanic male That scared me and made me feel very uncomfortable? I had to have somebody drive up there and be with me in order for me to feel comfortable enough to get out of the car and unhook the trailer. If you look at your cameras, you’ll see me driving around your parking lot looking pretty crazy probably but you’ll also see this man coming up with no walking around my vehicle. It was very scary for me. I watch too much murder in true crime television. It didn’t set well with me, but when it comes to the storage unit and my overall experience with your company, I was very much so satisfied your crew is amazing.
