Unit was a dungeon. No lighting and hit my head on the low beams every time I went in. Website said unit was open until 8pm. We arrived at 5:15 one night. They told us we had 15 minutes before closing. When I asked how that can be I was told the manager decided that they didnt want to have it open past 5:30. Finding trolleys to use is a task. The auto double doors are never operative so you either find someone to open them or you have to put the trolley through the narrow "man-door". I had a Container ($100/month, which was all busted up when I got it homeAND they called me on the way to pick it up to tell me I had to buy my own wiring harness for it because they didnt have one on the trailer!) , and I had this unit ($300/month) and I will never use UHaul storage again. Cheers.
Shane S | Overall ExperienceNot thrilled the unit was on a second floor and there was no elevator for easy access when lifting our furniture and boxes. Would have been nice to have a ground level access or another option to get up the 6-8 stairs like a ramp even would be helpful to carry a full load up.

Kenneth B | Online Move InIf it wasn’t for the second person I dealt with I’d be calling head office because the service was atrocious. We arrived after 16 long hours only to be told 1.) there were no lockers which wasn’t true as we had a reservation. 2.) we were then informed we had to buy their lock even though we had an identical one. 3.) as I didn’t have a physical card on me only my phone I was told I would have to drive across town on a Friday at rush hour with a 36ft truck to get said card and there was nothing the person could do 4.) when I asked him to borrow the lock if and I would go get my card once I drop my stuff he said there was no way he could guarantee I would pay. I advised I was coming back with the truck anyhow because I had to fill it and he would have half our stuff over hundreds of thousands in dollar value. 5.) after refusing to try and find a solution it took an assertive tone to get his colleague to notice at which time they suggested billing the card on file which was the card on my phone and the physical card I used. 6.) there was no apology for the lack of competency this person felt compelled to make life difficult. I’ve rented several times with uhaul this past month to move our stuff from northern bc to Victoria and get things set up for our family but this last experience has left us beyond stressed. Unacceptable.

Tracey N | Overall ExperienceI didn’t appreciate being forced to buy one of their locks. I also really didn’t appreciate an $80 fee and minimum 24 hour ride to get a lock opened if key is lost. Matt cost was also very excessive. All in all, I would not use their service again.
