I reserved the uhaul early, and still had to go miles away to get it. Then when I got there the person asked if I wanted to use the card that I had entered, I said no because I didn't enter a card. It must have been in the computer system from the last time we used Uhaul, We were overcharged, she supposedly canceled it and recharged the correct amount. So that tied up over $500 on my card and I have still have not gotten a refund. I was moving and didn't have the extra money so now I have no money and my family has went without due to a person that did not even have authorization by be to charge my card. She didn't even tell me how much it was until after she did it.... and I had to ask. This is really uncalled for. Then the gas reading was wrong, and she didn't give us the right dolly. She wasn't very helpful and caused a lot of problems for me. Then the back of the truck was not clean, had to sweep put dirt , mud , and tree limbs. It was not a good experience.

This location and gentleman that helped us was great but the girl through customer service who originally helped me book was not. She was nice but didn’t realty book a truck for me so when i went to pick the truck up at 7am in castleton, there was nothing available. It pushed back our whole day of moving and made me spend more money and time finding a truck. The girl at the counter at the castleton location was great but i didn’t have a good experience overall

I'm on the phone as I write this ... Trying to get my issue resolved. I rented the 15ft truck and had it 24 hrs and was charged for 48 hrs just because they was closed on Father's day. Was told to call 1-800-gouhaul been on hold for an hr. How do I put in a complaint if no one answers the phone ?????? . Not fair to your customers. I will not be going back to this location. Hopefully I never have to use a uhaul again.

John at the location ran the insurance and charged my card without asking me. I had showed proof of insurance when reserving the truck. Then told memhe could not fix it and call the 800 number. I went to check the vehicle and the check engime light was on. Imwent back in and the truck was swapped. I took the vehicle without inspecting it and when I opened the cargo door found kitty litter anf urine in the back.

This location is on the third floor with no elevator they did not come right now and check the truck and I have to wait hours I only use one pack of pants and didn’t use the dolly but I don’t see where I’m not being charge for that I’m still being charge for stuff I didnt use

Brakes making loud noise Ghetyo area was told on monday i could puck up at shadeland ave then recieved call thursday i had to pick up on state street an could not get until they opened at 10 i wanted it at 8 hopefully i never have to use U haul again service and quality has really gone down hill customer service is sadky lacking.

Provide hook-up assistance, provide proper size ball and insert for hitch, make certain safety chains have proper hooks to connect to tow vehicle, and insure that electrical connector is not corroded.

Elevator was broken and had to walk up three flights of stairs three times. Went to return the Uhaul and door was locked and said will return at 9:00 AM the next day. Went back at 9:00 AM and no one was there and waited until 9:30. There was no evidence of a drop box. The posted phone number to call for problems was incorrect. Went back at 1:30 PM and no one was there and door was locked even though sign said open. Finally, a very rude person came in from another area in the building talking on the phone and made us wait longer. She then said we should have just dropped the keys in the drop box. There is no sign stating that there is a drop box anywhere, and there was no visible drop box in the area. We explained this to her as well as all of the issues of the posted hours and posted phone number being incorrect. She was very defensive and unapologetic. She said she was the building manager and had to post hours that were incorrect which makes absolutely no sense. She has extremely poor customer service skills. Finally, after three trips to this facility, were were able to return the Uhaul. This is completely unacceptable.

The key drop box was very small and difficult to locate. A security contractor had to point it out to me. That box could be made a little more visible.

There needs to be a suite number listed in the address. I spent 20 minutes looking for the office to get the keys to the truck. I called the number listed multiple times for help finding the location and no one answered.

I was charged for 4 extra days. I have called the office multiple times to remedy the problem with no answer. I then left work early to physically go to the location and was told the situation would be looked into and taken care of. The money was never refunded. That aside, I showed up the scheduled day to pick up the truck to 5 other individuals waiting for service. I stood around for 90 minutes before being helped.

make the contract clear. don't just write shit down and not ask the customer details about the contract. the lady made up names and phone numbers on my contract and didn't ask me if I wanted a 1 way trip. so I assumed that I could drop it off at any location to later find out I had to drive all the way back to the original location. The trailer was backed up into a fence didn't even have a wheel jack so I had to pick up the trailer and pull it to my truck. When I called customer service the first time the lady rushed me off the phone. The second time I called the man did all he could. You need a better system of communication, equipment check, and return of property. I will not be using uhaul ever again.

It's damn near impossible to find out where to go to pick up the key to the vehicle. We wandered around the building for 30 minutes before finally finding the office.

I made my reservation a month in advance but when I called they said they did not have my vehicle in stock. They did find me another vehicle at another location. I was stuck in traffic and I called the other facility to let them know I would be late. They said that they would wait, but they were not there upon my arrival. I am thoroughly disgusted with my experience!!

I picked the truck up in Muncie. I had to have my son come up and help me because the guy spoke so fast I didn't understand him. I explained that I am hearing impaired to no avail. I would have missed important information had my son not been with me .

I only used the truck for 10 minutes. I told them that I was using the truck to move 3 desk and they suggested the smaller truck. I took their advise only to drive 1 mile if one to find out that the truck was too small. I returned the truck immediately but your office was closed. Clearly I went two miles total if that and was charged 42 plus dollars for nothing. I think there should be a better system put in place for people who do not actually get the benefits of using your equipment. I am sure it doesn't happen on a regular basis. I feel like someone should have at least called me the next morning and ask what happened after reviewing the mileage. I feel like I should have been reimbursed my money since I received no benefits. Thank you for allowing me to express my opinion.

The person helping me arrived 40 minutes late, then was very slow to help the four people who were also waiting for their truck. He did not have the dolly that I reserved weeks prior, and his printer did not have ink as we has printing the documents for me to sign, so we wasted another 10 minutes trying to find the ink for his computer. Ultimately I did not have the contract to sign since he could not find the ink. The truck worked well, but my experience was frustrating. I will not be a return customer and would never recommend Uhaul to others.
