I reserved a 17' truck and there were no trucks available when I arrived. Wasted a couple of hours trying to get a truck. Finally settled for a 10' truck. As a result, I needed to make 3 trips but ran out of time after the second trip and had to return the truck..

They forgot to instruct about features on vehicle. Something you guys may want to add. As a result we ended spending more on gas. Vehicle was set on low gear but we didn't know. We just noticed it was behaving a little funny after 70mph. Otherwise all was well.

Starting with cleaning out the garbage from the back of the truck from the previous user. Then perhaps actually doing some customer service instead of ignoring them might make the experience a little better. They didn't even check the mileage before and after with the customer, me!

The cute Indian looking guy was very nice and helpful in the place tried giving me the most cost affective options but I ended up getting a dirty ass disgusting truck. Looks like no one at this location bothers to inspect trucks after they were used. And i didn't think to check it before I left. Didnt know that was necessary. 1st time doing a move on my own so clearly i didn't know. When i get home with the truck and open the back there is literally a pile of shit embalming the truck with the most disgusting smell u could ever imagine. On top of that the floor part was filthy dirt and dust all over. I got this truck rental in bk the bushwick location at around 6pm. So i wasn't able to go back and have this disgustingness changed. They close at 6:30pm. So i had to bear the smell and risk my things smelling like shit for the time it took me to finish packing and going all the way to the Bronx! Then again when unloading. Which took the entire night. Then when I go to drop off this abomination of disgustingness to the uhaul at west farm square in the morning the guy tells me he has to charge me a $50 cleaning fee. And naturally I went off because I'm sure I don't look like a person who takes shits in the back of a uhaul truck. I'm a cute tiny girl with a great smile. Not some ratchet back of the uhaul shit taking creature. This is ridiculous!!!!!! I want my money back. I should have all my money back actually for this bullshit!!! I hope everyone sees this and doesnt rent uhaul at least from bushwick ave location they dont check their trucks that or they gave me this truck purposely to get rid of it because I was dropping it off at a different location. Right after this I'm going to call them and tell them about themselves!!! Horrendous!! I have to pay $50 for someone taking a shit in a uhaul truck making my moving experience that much worst because smelling it all night and having to pack my stuff in there wasn't enough!!!! Thanks uhaul.

The overall experience with UHaul was not positive. When I picked up my truck, the price I was told was much more than my reservation quote. When I attempted to drop off my truck in Brooklyn at the first location, I was told my reservation had been cancelled. They sent me to another location. There were no UHAUL workers present at the second location. The employees present worked for the gas station and as a result told me that they would give my key to the Uhaul employees the following morning and I would receive an email. I did not receive an email however. I was charged for the Uhaul, however, and then the charge was removed. I called UHaul customer service on Wednesday to figure out what was going on. Cheryl, who was very helpful, confirmed that the charge had been taken off. Then Friday morning I was charged again. I called customer service and was told to call my drop-off location. After calling the drop off location about 4 times, I finally got to speak to someone. They told me to call customer service. Once I explained that I already did they looked into the issue for me. And then I received an email from them confirming the trick had been dropped off the previous Saturday. I checked my bank account again yesterday to find that the charge was no longer there. I called customer service and confirmed that the charge was still there and it was. Overall, this has been a drawn out experience that has left me uncertain about how much I have to pay and whether or not it was even clear that the truck has been dropped off.

to whom it may concern: why did the worker there tell me that when I ask him for a better looking u-haul 15 foot truck the worker told me that all those NEW U-HAUL TRUCK ARE FOR ONLY CUSTOMERS THAT ARE GOING UPSTATE ONLY BECAUSE I DID ASK FOR A NEWER U-HAUL 15 FOOT TRUCK BECAUSE MY U-HAUL TRUCK WERE LOOKING VERY OLD AND I THOUGHT I WAS A GOOD PAYING CUSTOMER JUST LIKE EVERY ONE ELSE. I was scheduled to return my truck to this location. I left it there the night before, and then 7 minutes before the truck was due back on the day of the return, I get a text/email from Uhaul with a new location to return the truck, followed by a phone call from the new location asking when I was returning the truck. I explained the situation to the person on the phone, that the truck was at the location written on my contract, and they were very helpful. Everything worked out, but it was a bit stressful and confusing not knowing if I was going to be charged because, at the last minute, I was supposed to return the truck to a location several miles away from the location where I had left it. Customer service from all employees involved was great, but it was confusing. There should be a confirmed location (such as the one written on the contract) to return the truck ahead of time so customers can plan well in advance how/when to return the truck, not 7 minuted before the return time.

I arrived at the self pick up location and none of the key boxes would open. I spoke with a guy in the phone who said he would transfer my reservation to another location. I took an uber to this new place and the manager had left even though he was aware I was coming. The only employee was having difficulty helping another woman. It took me over an hour and a half to finally get a key. During this time I was calling the original guy while he was calling this store to instruct the man on what to do. I've also been charged for two reservations. I request a refund at the very least for one of them even though the additional Uber's cost me an extra $40 on top of that. It was a nightmare.



Reserved a van for 11 am 2 months in advance, didn't get a van until 4pm. Was on hold waiting for a customer service rep for over a half hour and then they hung up on me. 0/10. Never again.
