We reserved the trailer at a location in Port Isabel through the website. After 3 phone calls, we were told they would not have the reserved trailer in Port Isabel and we would need to go to Brownsville to pick it up. We drove to the Brownsville location and no one was there. We called UHaul and they sent us to a different UHaul location. This location did not have the correct size trailer. We called UHaul again. They sent us to a 4th location. This location had the correct trailer. What we thought was going to be a 5 mile trip taking less than an hour ended up taking 4 hours and 80+ miles of driving. VERY frustrating experience! This was a one-way rental. UHaul changed the drop off location during the pickup fiasco. So the drop off location was 20 miles from the location we reserved. After 3 phone calls to UHaul we finally got things switched back to the original drop off location. We have used UHaul many times over the years and have NEVER had an experience like this one! Not sure we will use UHaul again.
