We’ve rented from U-Haul before and have never had a bad experience. This visit, however, dipped a little below standard. I don’t think we understand the relationship between reserving a truck for 24 hours and being penalized for picking it up within the 24 hour window if it’s beyond the scheduled pick-up time. We’ve also always been able to add a driver to the reservation. We were told this wasn’t a possibility this time which was confusing and disappointing. I’d also like to offer criticism from a law enforcement standpoint on the location. When we dropped the keys off in the drop box after hours the glass front store clearly displayed all security cameras on large monitors facing the front of the store. This makes it very simple for anyone to case the security systems of the establishment in order to strategize the best way to breach them. I would recommend correcting what is displayed on the monitors after hours or repositioning the monitors to keep your location safe.

The mobile check in was unable to process my reservation. After sending a picture of my license I received a message stating I could not rent it he truck. The attendant was helpful in processing my reservation. My account was charged twice. I went over my mileage and paid the total adjusted amount at drop off. The next day there was a pending action for the original estimated cost.

you can have more than one person at the desk you can be prepared for people to come in that have already done online orders and it did not charge me twice for the same rental.

The lady was all by herself and there were three of us in line waiting for awhile. It only took longer because of the customer she was helping. She was very patient and professional with him, which for my husband and I, was impressive. But, we still thought that she should have had some help.

Lied to me that I had to pay for the weekend because the end location was closed. Even though they sent me a text that I could turn in Uhaul when closed AFTER I left Colorado Springs. End location has the self return blocked with trucks AND they were open AND they advertise a $200 rate for my trip which overcharges me $400
