This is in a bad neighborhood especially at night when I returned my car. The online checking in process asked me to open the back of the truck and take a photo. I didn't do it because this would have been dangerous for me to do. If y'all are interested in why, please get in contact. I don't feel comfortable explaining here.

U-Haul host was over 30 mins late opening the store which delayed my movers schedule costing me valuable time and money. The U-Haul vehicle itself leaked water in the “mom’s attic” portion soaking boxes of clothes and electronics.

The vehicle needs maintenance. Tire. Drive door was not staying latched. Driver Sun visor is missing piece so it was hanging for part way blocking my view.

Truck reeked of cigarette smoke. People very nice but location in very iffy neighborhood. I would never go at night.

I reserved on like 2 days in advance. I arrived 10 mins early only to find 3 people in front of me frustrated. I found out the system was down and he couldn’t process any orders. This created a huge problem for a lot of people as many of us had movers (which we were going to be charged for). You could tell the rep was very frustrated and he started snapping at people who were asking for updates. It took an hour to get his system back and running. I asked him about a credit and he said I would have to call uhaul directly. I tried calling them but had to sit on hold for at least 45 mins before just hanging up. Once I received the truck it was pretty smooth and had no issues. The truck was standard and got the job done. I understand the rep was frustrated but he was directing at the wrong people (when I returned the truck he was SO much more friendlier and actually apologized for the inconvenience that morning.) all in all, if the system issue wouldn’t have happened, There was no other issues and the rental went smoothly.

The location where I picked up the truck was a nasty convenience store. The guy was trying to get my rental and he was also working the store register at the same time. He was going back and forth from window to window. He was hard to understand also.

I didn’t feel safe in this location. The person on duty was behind a safety window. He at first was not going to accept my vehicle. He said he had no reservation for it. I told him I was told to drop it at any U-Haul location. If necessary to call ahead, I was unaware. Finally he accepted it. I did not want to wait there for a receipt. He did say he would email it to me, which he has quickly. Very different from my pick up destination.

Cabs inside trucks always smell a bit, kind of a horsey smell. Could you a spray-down or deoderizer.

I paid for furniture pads and a dolly . When we picked up the truck they were not in it . I got on the U-Haul website and texted someone virtually who said they would remove the charges but did not !!!

contracted to drop off at this location, was told I couldn't because they were full. Wasted 30 min on the phone to get them to take the truck. Personnel checking in the truck was busy drinking beer on the side of the building. I videoed this all-Never again with Uhaul

The attendant that day was not very helpful. When we first got there he recommended we just take any truck. That didn’t seem right when the app was telling me to grab a specific truck. I hit the “can’t find my truck” button to refresh and the only other one it was showing was one that was blocked in. Getting it out of the lot was not easy, the trucks were packed in very close together. I also had ordered two queen size mattress bags the day before and the attendant wouldn’t give them to me because he couldn’t find the order for them. I had to request the protective blankets to wrap furniture that I had put on the order form, which took him 5 another minutes to look up and then grab for us. The whole process ended up taking 30 minutes to eventually get on the road. It was a frustrating first time trying to rent a truck here. Might be easier from a different location. Other than that the truck worked great once we got it.
