While the location and equipment was nice and I got a lot of calls leading up to pickup, I was given misleading information about dropoff procedures which almost cost me. I was not shown how to use the auto transport trailer and told I would have instructions which I didn’t receive by email until after I returned it, and given a folded up receipt with conflicting information from what I was verbally told that, again, almost cost me. Basically the whole process could have been more thorough

The insurance option was not explained thoroughly although it was purchased; things such as limits,coverage,etc...$14 extra that perhaps was already included in the $19.99 fee. Almost $80.00 The insurance part was not transparent.

Staff did not pull truck around, I had to walk through the lot to get to it (they did not do a walk around with me to check for prior damage) and when I did the truck smelled horribly of cigarettes for which I’m now being charge a $25 cleaning fee (I’m allergic to cigarette smoke), fortunately I only had to drive it a few miles. The truck itself also had the “engine” light on which caused me to have to return to the facility where they told me that the mechanics forgot to reset it after it had been serviced (they could have told me this BEFORE I left), causing me to waste precious mileage. Go anywhere but Uhaul! Never. Again.

The actual store was not open upon drop off so these ratings are not about drop off but the actual area. No clear sign for truck drop off. The online instructions were lacking in clarity. I left with an uncertainty that where the truck was was correct, and customer service, after a 15 minute wait, told me I was on my own. Very disappointed.

The auto hauler was in bad shape. It was almost impossible to get the tire strap fasteners to work. I pointed it out where I dropped it off. They took it off line and scheduled it for repair.

Contacted customer services as I have not received copies of the final invoice to be able to tie the payment up to what has actually been taken from my bank account.. I spoke to Marsha Powell who kept telling me to go to the website told her I had already tried this and was unable to get the copies. She said she had emailed them to me but when I said they hadn't come through I was told to get off the phone. I am still waiting for the invoices. Truck was unsafe to drive, I rented for 24hrs returned right after manager at location didn’t offer me an other truck or place to get one just a number to call and complain I did nobody call me back . Personal mini storage Davenport 100 lake Davenport truck number TT1552D. Happened twice this month same truck same isssue . Worse service ever no answers ...

The 15 foot truck I rented did not have side steps for entering and exiting the truck cab. As an older person, it would be very helpful.

If your customers, are having to pay to return the rented trucks and vans, pickups. With a full tank of gas, for local use. I don't think they should be charged for mileage. Since the gas was paid for and replaced. It's like we already paid for mileage. And been charged twice. Plus $19.95 a day for rental. It cost me $104.00. For a days rental, which I only needed for a few hours. And $20.00 worth of gas. I think if your having to return vehicles, with a full tank of gas. You shouldn't charge for mileage. One or the other. Charge for mileage or return with a full tank. Personally, I think you'd make out better if you charged just for mileage. Your still making a profit. But this does not mean I wouldn't use u haul, again. I have always used U haul whenever I needed to. And will continue to do so. If and when. I cross that path again. And this is only my opinion.

I chose the "access your vehicle by using your cellphone" option, but could not get past the "take a picture of yourself step". The camera screen engaged (the buttons were there but the screen was black) and would not work. My guess is that a window wasn't popping up to say "allow access to camera," but I don't know. I was using an iPhone, if this helps your IT process. I ended up going into the office to finish the process.

Easy in and out. Returns is especially easy. Very nice people to deal with too! Definitely recommend this location. It was half way between where we needed to have things picked up and dropped off.

Did not give a breakdown of what we were paying for. After I told the agent my miles he charged the wrong miles. Did not tell us of a DROP off charge. The wife went on line and saw the fine print that was noest explained to us. Overcharged $40.00. I've used UHAUL many years to move my son's to college and there home's. AGENTS doing what they want. Years ago you got a printed BREAKDOWN of charges, sorry for us believing in him. Question is, why do this to a CUSTOMER. UHAUL needs to check accounting procedures at the locations. Thx for reading.
