Great place great genuine people, the UHaul owner is on point but those mechanics need to get their life's together, they shouldn't be bothering people during their rentals.

I cannot believe U-Haul is even affiliated with this place. We reserved a 15' and they gave us a 10' truck. If only that was the worst of our problems. We arrived at 0945 for a 1000 reservation. The entire premise was gated and locked and no one was there. I called and apparently spoke to the owner who was at his house saying his employee was suppose to be there 4 hours ago and he will call him. After not hearing from him for 10 minutes, I called back. He said he was on his way to the shop to take care of me personally and would be there in 10 minutes. After waiting until 1030, I called U-Haul customer service to try to get this dealt with. After explaining my situation the girl I spoke to said she would hopefully be able to help me get a truck from somewhere else in the area. I was transferred to a guy and had to explain my entire situation again. After being put on hold, he stated there were no available trucks in the area, but they would reimburse me $50 to my account for the inconvenience (which never came), and the owner would be at the shop in 10 to 15 minutes, the same thing the owner told me a half hour ago. The owner finally shows up at 1045 and takes me into his "office" which was filled with garbage and cigarette smoke from the "business meeting" the night before. The owner then has no idea how to access HIS OWN U-HAUL ACCOUNT. We spent 5 minutes awkwardly waiting while he kept trying to call his employee. He finally contacted who I believe to be a regional manager who I had to speak with over the phone to do a phone contract. It's now 1100 and I still don't have a truck, and the guy I spoke to on the phone tries telling me that I have to have the truck back by 3pm because someone else needs it. I had a five hour rental, but I'm supposed to forfeit my time because of the incompetence of Jonnimotors? We were finally in our reserved truck at 1105. When we returned the truck on time, the scumbag employee that didn't show up that morning was there to help us out albeit while smoking a cigarette in our faces the entire time. He was very unapologetic and tried to distance himself from events of the morning. The total cost he charged was $20 more than the quote from the contract and his answer was "environmental costs, stuff like that". After poorly concluding business with us, he offered us to come back any time for a discount on the mileage rate. THANKS! If U-Haul is still affiliated with Jonnimotors when we move again in February, we will be looking elsewhere for a rental truck.

The person completing the return very clearly did not understand the process. He had to call someone to ask how the process worked. We were shocked when he did not inspect the vehicle or ask for any further paperwork. We dropped the truck off to him and gave him the keys. We were very apprehensive about the situations, but seeing the UHaul sign on the building and seeing the after hours return information, we decided to proceed. He assured us everything would be fine and no further charges would be made. We were very careful to clean the truck thoroughly prior to returning the vehicle, however we were charged $50 for a cleaning fee. I find this unacceptable. I do not understand how I can be held accountable for a cleaning fee when the person accepting the vehicle did not inspect the vehicle upon return. I will be contacting customer service in an effort to be reimbursed for this fee.

We waited for an hour until the person who "knew how to do Uhaul rentals" returned from wherever he was. We were finally able to complete the rental process over the phone, but then we got in the truck and the back tire was completely flat. We had to go to a different location to get a different truck.
