No one there to check us in or out. Then had to wait an hour on the phone making sure we weren't gonna be charged for stealing equipment. Go to a different location this one is terrible
I reserved a 15" which they didnt have the key for so they sent me off with the biggest truck they had 27" which I didnt even fill half full to move from.hickory nc to waynesville nc. And they charged the 201 plus a tax fee and a environmental fee. Total bs I would not reccomend that particular place I will be going to another company if I have to move again
I had to give my card info over the phone. The convenience store worker walked off and was more worried about someone playin arcade games more than us trying to get a uhaul
When a customer makes a reservation, that means that a customer should have equipment available upon their arrival. Uhaul needs a better system for upholding customers reservations.
I asked to pick up at another location for my convenience, this store was 15 minutes out of my way. Making that an additional 30. I drove up to a gas station where people were playing video poker and smoking inside. And then had to get on the phone to speak to the guy. Not a good place to represent U-Haul. I was probably there only about 10 minutes, but that was 10 minutes to long!
When I picked up the trailer, a homeless person had been living in the trailer and I had to clean out the trailer. Donated all of the persons stuff to goodwill.
my pickup experience was awful. 1. they cancelled my original pickup point the night before. 2. the second location they gave us was very difficult to find, the owner of the location wasn't even there. 3. they gave us a new location and it was bad, the owner wasn't there but he was having his kids at the location look at the truck, not good, they did not have everything we ordered. 4. we had to go to another location get the equipment we needed. 5. my original pickup was for 9am, I could have started loading the truck shortly after 9am if the original plan would have worked but I spent 2 hours driving around trying to find locations and equipment, this was as unprofessional as it could have been. I almost hired people to help me load the truck through uhaul, this would have been a disaster. This move started out very badly but I was able to get moved in the end.
Pick up location was change late afternoon day before pick up scheduled and was not convenient for me. Pick up attendant did not have information and had to call manager for authorization to release rental truck. Upon return, attendant tried to overcharge hours and manager advised, by phone, it would be hours before he could access computer to correct. Only corrected after I called 800-customer service number. Language issues and manager was in location we could not hear by phone. Entire process was frustrating .
The 26' rental was fantastic being a newer uhaul. It made the travel experience much more enjoyable. I have had uhauls that are older and beat up and those make the travel miserable. The only thing I didn't like is the governor limiting the top speed because going up hills it makes it very difficult to maintain speed.
The clerk needs more computer training.
I'm disputing the charges that were processes. I did not authorize the amount withdraw I was informed of a different price I'm being charged for gas fees when the amount of gas was put back in and I have pictures to prove so. I need this issue resolved and be charged the price I was quoted
