Have the truck maintenanced (had low psi in back tires), the check engine light stayed on and it had less than half a tank of gas in it when I initially got in the truck.
The manager is on a brink of a discrimination lawsuit. The first time that I utilize the service I had place a reservation. The manager gave me a call to discuss the reservation. He literally grilled me asking me my reasons of renting for 24 hours instead of 4 hours as he suggested even thought I am the paying customer. He further tried to dictate the manner of my move to maximize his profits with total disregards for any reasonings of my own plans. Unfortunately the 19.95 truck that I rented did not have a ramp to load heavier appliances. I was able to return the rental at closing time that same day. The manager was at the location. I explained to him that I will be back to patronize the business in a couple weeks so that I can complete my move. I did just that. Setting up another reservation and this time for the proper truck to move my appliances. Yet again the manager was displeased that I paid for a 24 hr rental. By me using the truck a couple weeks before he began to grill me the customer about the nature of my business of renting yet another truck that's traveling to the same address. His well trained thought process is that no one in America take more than a day to move. Real professional right. He then began to ask me for a lease or a utility bill. This is when I began to inform the manager that he is attempting to infringe on my Constitutional Rights. All the documentations that UHaul needed for me to rent was summited and or in hand such as valid licenses debt card or cash literally everything. But this did not satisfy me manager. After yet another vigorous conversation he finally gave me the key. As I'm waiting for a family member to drive my personal vehicle from the premises he approached me yet again. Now I was feed up. He then stated to me that he do not feel comfortable renting me a truck. I explained to the manager that he is discriminating and I want him to be aware of it. His response was that he talks to everybody in the same manner. I then educated the manager on business ethics. Only after I reminded him that I spoke with him after the first rental and told him I will rent again is when he backed down. He was making accusations as if I was doing something sinister with the truck. I felt very disappointed disrespected and embarrassed. My total miles for both rentals was 8 miles. Yes 4 miles per rental. How am I going to run of to another state as he keep saying in 4 miles. This is why I will never returned. I don't like being discriminated and tiers of it. I have to teach my son everyday that it's hard to be a African American these days. Just a message to that manager how is also African American all black people are not criminals and scammers. Some of us work really hard to get where we are and are productive people in America
The inside of both the front and back of the truck were very dirty. I reserved a dolly, and UHAUL called to notify me they were out of dollys (I thought that was the purpose of reserving). Also, I reserved a truck at a different location and wasn't notified that they transferred my reservation to this location until I made it to the original location. Transferring locations made me have to pay more for mileage. I would not recommend UHAUL to anyone.
The wait time, they had customers waiting and their was enough staff to assist.

Significantly lower per mile fee. Rented the small 10 foot truck to pick up a washer and dryer I recently bought. Rental fee of $19.95 is very responsible but to go from Byram to Flowood a 3 hour rental cost me $72 and some change. Outrageous I will not be renting from Uhaul in the future I can promise that!
I was overcharged. They charged me for fuel when I put more more fuel in the truck that was in it when I got it. I'm not happy. I returned the same day and still charges to much.
Area was poorly secured and not clean at all rats in the building
Follow through with what you tell the client
You can start by allowing the â€œcustomerâ€ to pick up their rental at the location that was selected and confirmed in the reservation. Myself, and likely most customers, pick certain locations for a reason. If, for whatever reason, the reserved vehicle is not at the proper location for the scheduled pick up time, that should NOT be the customer's problem. Hire some dang drivers and get the rental to the proper place! I spent close to 1,000 dollars with UHaul over a 3 week period recently, but I am done. Maybe this advice will help with future customers.
As a customer having to drive to another location to go get my equipment separate from the truck was an inconvenience. Friendly service but due to the above fact it felt like a very shotty venture.
Very clean establishment and friendly atmosphere. Customer service was on point. Will definitely do business with this location again.
There was no air conditioning in the uhaul and the ramp kept getting stuck when we were trying to put it back.

The was by far the worst U-Haul experience I've ever had. I reserved 8a-12p. I arrived only to find out the store didn't open until 9a. I was still expected to return the truck at 12p. This was an inconvenience, not my fault. And not acknowledged.
Make sure you have storage rooms for a person when coming from out of town

This review is based on my experience at the uhual on northview in north jackson... The worse experience ever ...The man on duty did not want me coming in the store. He wanted me to fo the pickup online lied and said a dolly was on the truck. I got all The way to clinton when i realized it wasnt... i called back in and a lady advised me to go back .. i got back there no dollies . I then went to this location were antonio helped me . He charged me 60 dollars and i was told to bring it back to that location . After arriving back at northview i was placing the dolly in my car and the man on duty came up to me and instructed me to leave it there. I had to then call and get the dolly charge removed .. long story short i will never you the company again or recommend anyone to as well ... unprofessional, failure to communicate

I had booked to pick up the van at 4181 Northview Dr Jackson, MS 39206. I got there at 4:15pm. The store agent told me that the van was not at this location yet. I called customer service. They told me that the van was at 1414 Gibralter Dr. It was not going to be at Nothveiew Dr and i could pick it up at 1414 Gibralter Dr. I had to drive 10miles each way to pick up and drop off. Not what i expected plus i had to pay 20 miles in milage.
