The location for me to drop off made me pay $25 extra out-of-pocket cash to take the trailer off the back of the truck that I rented from U-Haul. I did not feel comfortable going back to drop off the truck which is why I picked a location for minutes down the streetJESSICA B.
The office is unidentified from the parking lot. There was NO ONE there on the day of our pick up. The truck was set up for remote dispatch but NO ONE told us that. We spent half an hour in panic mode. Had to call customer service for help. Completely stressful.Gordon S.
This was my first time renting a U-Haul and I had a horrible experience. Before I started my move, I called customer service for a simple question. I waited on hold three separate times, for about 10 minutes each time, just for them to hang up on me. When Gina did answer the phone, she had thee absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. She was very rude and had a horrible attitude the entire time she spoke with both me and my mother. U-Haul says their customer service representatives “provide a first class U-Haul experience,†but Gina honestly made me want to never rent from U-haul again because her phone service was so terrible. I reserved a truck for 10 hours, and was calling to see if I could check in late and still keep my reservation. Gina scheduled me for a check in for exactly one hour later, however only reserved my truck for 8 hours and did not tell me. I would understand a reservation for 9 hours as she moved my check in, but to take an extra hour off of that was an extremely unpleasant surprise. Fortunately, my mom was able to extend the reservation to later that night at no extra cost, and that was the only good thing about this experience. That, and when I accidentally called roadside assistance, I believe I spoke with a man who's name is Gary, and he was very very kind to me and I much appreciated his help getting me to the right place. Checking in with the 24/7 Truck Share was a task in itself. Maybe it was user error, but it took me 45 minutes to check in. That took almost an hour off my already two hour shortened move and I was extremely stressed out before I even started packing things onto the truck! After returning the truck, U-Haul instructed me to place the keys in the dropbox located near the building front. My mom and I walked up and down the plaza looking at all the storefronts, trying to find the dropbox. Nope. Not located there, it was located on a street/light pole nowhere near the storefronts. That was very frustrating after a 16 hour move. I do think U-Haul should evaluate their workers better, as one negative experience can really affect the way someone views a company. I also believe the drop off instructions could have been more clear for this particular location. If you read this far into my review, thank you I know it was long, and good luck with your move!Mechell J.
Nobody was there when I picked up or dropped off the truck. Door was locked, called and knocked on door. The phone numbers listed in email didn't work. Had to call u-haul to get help, who in turn called a manager for the area it seems. Location didn't have my equipment that I asked to have to help move either, so I needed to go to another location to get equipment, which used up miles on the truck rental.JOSHUA G.
Initially, lock was on wrong truck. Called CS and they got us up and going in no time. Great job.james B.
Make sure the gas content is the same with what the customer is being told. On my contract it showed I was to return the truck with a bit over a quarter tank. When I got the truck it was empty to the point I didn't think I was going to make it to a gas station.Rodolfo L.
I had problems with dropoff. During advertised business hours nobody was in the office. All advertised phone numbers went unanswered or were disconnected. The drop box for my keys was nowhere to be found in or around the lot. U-Haul did not have any further information on the drop box location. Drop-off was not as simple as advertised.Brett G.
