It has been years since I rented a U-haul and some of the changes are not welcomed. During the reservation pick-up, the rep insisted I have a mobile phone to upload a copy of my license. I use a flip phone due to the fact I have no reason to use any of the features of a smart phone. I wasn't able to upload a copy of my license and the rep became somewhat demeaning. She eventually made a copy of my license for the rental, but made it very clear that if I don’t not get a smart phone, I will not be allowed to rent a U-haul. There has to be an option for people that don’t engage in the smart phone technology. During the trip the truck’s tire monitoring sensor’s warning light came on. No big deal, probably a dead battery in the sensor. When I checked the truck back in, I related the warning message to the rep. She happily acknowledged there was an issue with the truck and she was aware of it. If you are aware of it, why not fix it. What other service issues are being delayed and not being addressed. Is this why we see so many U-hauls broken down on the side of the road. This may be the last time I rent a U-haul, at least not from this facility.

Give the customer gas if they need to drive from a location that they did not choose to where they will be picking up their stuff. This is in addition to the extra miles they are given.

Terrible customer service. I was lied to from the beginning. The time for pick-up was extremely late than I needed. I still don't know how much was charged overall, but I feel like I was robbed. There was nothing to accommodate me in my town, but online it said that it did. I spoke with 2 different people from customer service and was told 2 different things regarding my need for a truck. I am furious for this whole experience.

For one thing it would be nice to get the price quote for renting a 17 ft. truck down to what they say when I left with the truck, I was told and paid for the truck $165.00, the trip was price for a trip to Shaver Lake Ca. and back 108 miles 24 hr. rental. i get back this morning to returm it and they charge even more miles. Now it is 172.27 I didn't even go all the way to Shaver Lake, thats 12 miles more. I told them shaver lake so I would know the full price to plan this trip. So how can you charge people for a quote that was told by them and then charge more money. Also the truck was dirty inside and the windshield was very dirty, there was a lot of dirt I had to take a hose to see through the windshield.

The lady that worked there was 30 mintues late. I was at the location to pick up my truck at 9am and didn’t leave with truck til 940am. Also when I returned the truck she was working very slow with a customer and I waited another 30 mins to check out and she was very rude and unprofessional. She even slammed the door on me. Will never do business there again.
