Shorten the time it takes to sign up for your rented vehicle. Then the wait behind a previous customer would be shorter.

I was lied too! I was told if I returned it early I would be reimbursed for the day I didn't use! Then when I called they told me this wasn't the case. My husband is military, we have used uhaul a lot. The lady laughed at me on the phone when I explained we weren't told this!!!! I will never recommend uhaul again. We lost money and returned the equipment early. I also asked to have a supervisor call me still waiting. We have tons of military families we know who use uhaul. I have been telling them our experience I already posted on multiple websites how we were laughed at when we asked for the day went didn't use to be have it reimbursed!!! I will make sure I tell them never to use uhaul.

When I called and made my reservation, I was given the base price only. None of the additional charges were explained to me, and I had to pay more than twice what I thought I'd be paying. This should never had happened!

John was very helpful but the overall process was more stressful than it needed to be. My suggestion for improvement of Uhaul is as follows. Allow your customers to specify a range of acceptably sized trucks. I applied for a 17 ft truck but on the night before the move I was told that my 28 ft truck will be ready. This size was absolutely unacceptable for my purposes. Then I was offered a 20 ft truck which I almost took until I was told that a 15 ft truck would also be available in my town. Too much stress late in the game. Everything else was good.

I asked for insurance to cover me against all possible scenarios (damage to the truck AND damage to any other vehicles) and I was only offered SafeMove and not SafeMove Plus. This was not clarified to me that there even was a difference. Of course I want to be insured in case I get into an accident with anyone else. I'm very disappointed with this lack of communication.

The only thing I had a concern with was when calling customer service to rent the truck for an additional day. Unlike previous rentals, when I needed to extend the truck rental, the Cust. Service lady was making things confusing by saying I would be late. I was calling to extend the due-back date to avoid this. I then found out she charged my card without telling me, which annoys me (because of my current financial status, I wanted to pay in cash). Moreover, as a customer I expect to always be told if a charge to my card will occur. I have also never previously been charged this way. I don't like surprises.
