This was my second experience with this location. The first time was a below average, this time was above. The person in the office was friendlier, was more clear with information on both the pick up and the drop off procedures.

This place is atrocious. The customer service guy named LaMan is surly, nasty, aggressive. This guy claimed he was entitled to refuse the equipment, despite theirs being the return address on the contract. He told me he would have refused it if they were open when I dropped it off. I explained that “your colleague in Largo, FL said that evening drop off was okay”. He replied, “we are independent of U-Haul that is not my colleague”. Obviously, if they are a U-Haul contractor, they have a contractual agreement with U-Haul. They have a reputation for doing this at this location, just check google - many complaints. I am an attorney and told him that is not how contracts work. He said, “You can go over to the King St. with your law degree and argue with them”. Nasty, horrible, unbelievable. When I returned home, this guy had changed the contract to a different drop off even though I had already left the trailer there and had a U-Haul contract for drop off at their location. The customer service rep at U-Haul told me that. The LeMan guy is totally dishonest. Additionally, this guy lost these people a $150 a month storage rental as I had a reservation for storage there. Of course, I canceled and rented elsewhere. I have had this drop off problem with them in the past with the same guy. I will never set foot in that place again. I can’t believe that U-Haul does business with these people. I want a contact from the local U-Haul representative regarding what is being done to deal this ongoing issue at this place.

The guy that helped me was rude. I signed off on a truck with a full gas tank and it was not full. I did not go back inside because I did not want to deal with the same guy and hoped that was just where the needle on the gas gauge defaulted too, it was 7/8 full. When I filled up, the needle went all the way full. I put 10 gallons of gas in the truck and only drove 30 miles. I took before and after pictures and and left a note in the truck at drop-off (after hours drop) to please call me prior to billing out the final charges but I can see that did not happen. If the guy would have been nice, this would not have been an issue, mistakes happen. It was clear he did not want to help me book this truck and just left me to go find the truck on my own and make sure everything was OK.

The truck I rented was clean but mechanically was in very poor condition. This truck had a very bad sounding engine, exhaust was extremely loud, and the engine didn’t have the power it should have. The transmission on this truck is in very poor condition and shifted extremely hard. I would recommend this truck be removed from service until it is properly repaired. Luckily I was only drive a very short distance or I would have not accepted this vehicle. Also I used the 24/7 feature so there was no one on site when I found out how poor of a condition this truck was in.

I’m not sure what the purpose of the mobile checkin was, it didn’t save me time and it seemed the same as when I didn’t use mobile checkin last time I rented

The van did act funny whenever you would accelerate over 60 mph or slow down when going over 60 mph, but it was very clean. It did seem a bit shaky at higher speeds when going down the highway.

Solid and efficient management here. Last time I rented the van was not swept nor were the moving blankets I rented folded or shaken out (previous user got pine needles all over them). Overall uncle bobs is a great place though!

Vehicle has a loud exhaust leak, which can contribute to poor fuel economy , as well as a driver rear tire that is low on tread, aside from that, all was well and my expectations were met...

I was charged $6 for fuel. I only drop 15 miles and I put $5 in gas in the truck to bring it back exactly to where it was. I shouldn’t of been charged $6. I emailed but no one has responded.

We had to change our reservations three times due to changes in our move and NO ONE ever answered the phone there, despite my 6 calls and voicemails. When we did go pick it up, the guy who helped us was nice, but they didn’t have the supplies we needed. There was about a 1/4 tank less gas than they said it would have (I took pictures) and the truck smelled awful. The back was full of blankets that we didn’t need or ask for and they just took up space and shed on EVERYTHING. I was also charged more than I was quoted online, and then charged an additional $60 after we dropped it off! (We calculated that we drove 6 miles over our guestimation.). There was NO parking available that night, especially for a 26’ truck. We’ve called and called for information as to why we were charged more and no one has returned those calls either.

I tried the online reservation system and it did not work very well. While I was able to make the reservation, the system did not give me instructions on how to acquire the vehicle so I had to wait and go thru a human being - which was very nice. My main issue is the on line system did not work....

This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a long time. I ordered it online to be picked up after hours and the website wouldn’t load the picture of my license. I tried at least eight different times. I then called customer service which I was on hold for almost 45 mins and when I finally talked to them they said there was nothing they could do. I finally ordered another one because I missed the deadline and my license finally went through on the second one. The entire thing took over an hour and a half and I missed some help from friends because they had to work. So this made me take much longer. I will be going with another company next time and I bartend so I will tell all my friends and patrons the same thing.

I rented a 26’ uhaul to use for evacuation of a nursing facility in lieu of hurricane Florence. The ABS light went on shortly after followed by the brake light and alarm. I listened to that alarm for 5 hours. I visited a uhaul dealer in Greenville, Sc. They reset brake light. I even called roadside service to report problem. I was assured the alarm wouldn’t sound on the return trip. Well, it did. So after 6 long days monitoring and caring for my patients 24/7, I had to listen to that alarm again on the 4 hour trip home. I requested a different truck and was denied. So what can uhaul do for me??? I’m frustrated !!

The staff at this location were very courteous, friendly, and efficient. At a busy time just before labor day weekend, I observed this staff operate in elite professionalism while getting all of their customers on the road in a timely manner. They did a great job and I would highly recommend this location to any one!!
