The truck was in good condition and worked well. The only downside was that it was given with only 1/4 of the deposit on it. The other bad thing was that there was half a cigar on the cabin floor next to the passenger side. Other than that the staff was GREAT and will definitely recommend Uhaul and this location

The online self service process for pick up was slow, unhelpful and frustrating to use. The keys were not where they were said to be, the truck wasn’t maintained and the registration process took longer than necessary. Have real staff on hand.

I rented a truck and selected the self pickup option, since I needed the truck before the UHaul desk opened at the Gas Station near my apartment. My rental truck was supposed to be ready for pickup at 7:30am through the self pickup on my mobile device. When I arrived, I clicked on pickup my truck and a message kept popping up that said "Your truck will be ready on 11/10/2017 at 7:30am", mind you it was past 7:30am on 11/10/2017 at this point. I tried this multiple times and the same message kept popping up. I was trying to pick up the truck all the way until about 9:00am. When I called UHaul, they basically said there was nothing they could do because it was something wrong with the app (This was after waiting on hold for an extensive period of time). There was a gas station attendant there who was very rude and literally ignored everything I was saying to him. I was literally standing right in front of him asking questions and he just looked off into the distance as if I was not there. Finally, a UHaul representative showed up to the Gas Station at 9:00am and was able to work out the rental after giving me an attitude about how they do not open until 9am. This is the last time I will be using UHaul to rent a truck and I will be sure to warn friends and family to stay away.

Various little problems, but the big one was this. I drove 8 miles. On my return, I bought a little more than a gallon of gas, which was more than I could possibly have used. I bought the gas AT THE STATION that rents the U-Hauls. I was then charged $8.50 for 2 gallons of gas based on the position of the gas gauge. A gauge just is not that precise. After an extended struggle, they agreed not to charge me and supposedly cancelled the credit card charge and reran the card for the lesser amount. 48 hours later, the cancellation still has not come through.

the keys to my van were in another van and the attendant had to place multiple phone calls to resolve the issue. the attendant was very kind and helpful.

Great experience with the location. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and equipment perfect. Only thought is that maybe they want to proactively ask if we want blankets and tape? (I forgot to get tape.) My only complaint is actually with uhaul: its website. The actual location had trucks available when I wanted them, but the website didn't indicate it. I had seen earlier That the location had trucks, but when I actually went to rent there was nothing listed. So, I called uhaul to get the contact info for this location and they weren't able to help or even find the location in their system. I then had to search online myself for the location contact info, so I could call and rent from them directly (i.e., no help from uhaul). So, uhaul gets a 3 and the rental location gets a 9.

Difficult to return car since limited parking space. They charged me for self-insurance when I did not want it. Gas tank was not full.

I recently rent a uhaul and select only a dolly. When I pick up the van, the stuff add one more dolly and 6 pads to my rental without notifying me. Worst thing is that I didn't even see that extra dolly. I need to pay for extra 10 dollars.

For the most part the truck was fine, but there was some trash left in the back of the truck and the air conditioner didn't work, which was miserable after moving heavy objects for hours.

Associate have me damage receipt to sign on release of vehicle without an actual inspection. Had to offer to take it upon myself to review vehicle before signing. Other than that no problems.

The van worked fine, but it was very dirty inside. Maybe they can vacuum it once in a while.

The mirror on the driver's side of the van was not working well and kept slipping away from the van, so it was difficult at times to see. I had to drive with the window down so I could adjust it every few minutes.

It was the first time I used an authorized U-Haul retailer rather than an Official U-Haul Service Center. Also the first time I used the online check-in before I went, which made it so quick and easy. And due to traffic, I went over on my time, and the lady couldn't have been more accommodating when I asked for an extension.

We were anxious before this rental because the reviews we read were mixed. However, we had a great experience. The van was clean and ready when promised. The staff was very nice. Getting in and out of this location was no problem. My only negative comment is that the gas tank was half full when we picked up the van. This is annoying because you don't know how much gas to put in before returning the vehicle. Overall that's a minor quibble to a very good experience.

It gets swamped with taxi drivers cause it has cheap gas. So maybe expand or at the very least have someone on hand to direct traffic.

Hello I reserved a van + dolly + hand truck(an extra just in case the movers needed it) for pick up/drop off at 1599 Lexington Ave; NYC 10030 My reservation was made 5/5/2017 with an update on 6/21/2017 When I got to the pickup location, the female assistant informed me that a furniture dolly was Not available We had a communication barrier as English was her second language I told her she should have informed me because the furniture dolly is the Main item I needed, as I was having 2 large pieces of furniture moved......the main reason for the van rental, as I own a mini van that I could move my other belongings I then asked for another hand truck at no charge(in case the moving men could use it-----they didn't)......she refused the no charge...I rented the second hand truck The movers I hired had to go get a furniture dolly, and I was paying them by the hour When I returned the van, the office was closed and the nice man who checked me in spoke No English I have extra charges deducted from my bank that I need explained.....some are for extra mileage I did just talk to Roxanne at U-Haul customer service (who was so helpful) and she is sending a report to the regional manager I was filling this out as I was on hold I look forward to speaking with the manager soon Thank you so much, Ginger Masoud
