The windshield and driverside/passenger side windows were really dirty. Moreover, the truck didn't have any windshield washer fluid, so we weren't able to clean the windows until we got to a gas station outside of Manhattan which was 2-3 hours into our trip.

This was the single worst experience I have had with a customer service situation in years. First of all, there was only 1 person working on a busy Saturday morning... ONLY 1 PERSON to check people in, then go retrieve their trucks, get them situated, etc. I had 5 people ahead of me and was in line for at least an hour before I was on my way with my van. The guy working was also not apologetic or friendly or extra helpful given the trying situation. Overall this was atrocious and you should seriously be ashamed.

Drop of of truck at 117th street location in NYC was: rude and unpleasant .experience. I was met at desk by Dave (David) a rude and unhelpful black man, who addressed me with a severe angry attitude: refused to check me out, almost refused to repeat his explanation when asked because I did not understand the rant the first time. Refused to walk to truck to check gas, milage and dents, and then pulled the hoodie over his head and walked to the back. Other employees were present and I think embarrassed by the scene offered to check out the truck with me. Sad.

I made a reservation for 2 - then called to move it to 4 - when I arrived my reservation was cancelled - told someone did it at location Maybe due to me moving out time but I was there at 4 - so not great coordination Plus NO one notified me it was cancelled via call or email

This is a general comment, potentially not only applicable to this place - when it says 24 hour drop-off, I would expect the drop-off options to be clearer. In this specific place, I wasn't sure where to leave the truck and how the drop off should be taken place. There was a staff member who works at a parking garage near by who was extremely helpful and he walked me through the procedure, but I must admit that I did not leave the truck with a complete peace of mind.

There was no attendant in the shop for several minutes when I got there. I had to walk around and look for the attendant. Someone in the neighboring garage said he was probably parking a truck. When he arrived he was pretty upset as he stated he has told U-haul he cannot take anymore drop offs but they keep sending them. Location is convenient but there's not a lot of places to put the truck when you are dropping off.

Rented, used, paid, returned. Main problem: uhaul customer service by phone. Either dont pick up or leave customer on hold for extended periods, requiring another call. Uhaul is helping themselves to my bank a/c by adding charges 1 month later. Tried calling customer service, 1st call waited 15 min. no one came back. 2nd call ADRIANA with bad attitude, rep could not give an answer to the charges. 3rd call Angela was able to find the information. TOTAL TIME SPENT ON 3 CALLS = 53 min, 52 sec THIS CALL SHOULD NOT HAVE TAKEN MORE THAN 5 MIN TO PROVIDE THE INFORMATION. I believe in customer service jobs in the U.S. but maybe we should leave it to "outsourcing" at least they are nicer and strive to be efficient.

Filled the truck with gas, dropped off key in box after hours. I WISH I had taken a photo of the gas gauge because they charged for a 1/4 tank of gas, when the truck literally couldn't have taken another drop of gas at the station. Called to rectify, and the person on the other end was fairly rude and unhelpful. VERY disappointed with the entire UHaul experience from start to finish during this move...
