I thought the overall rental was great. The rental process was very smooth and the people were friendly.

When I went in to rent the vehicle, I explained that I lived in another town and would like to drop the truck off at the location closest to my home. I was told it would be more expensive to rent it one way than it would be to bring it back to that U-Haul store. I was told it’ll be $127 one way and $100 to bring it back. I was so exhausted after moving things I decided to take it back to the nearest store. When I went to return the U-Haul I was told that I HAD to return it to the original U-Haul store or be penalized $250. So I said ok I’ll return it to the original store. When I got there they said I still owed $127. So not only was I Inconvenienced and was also over charged because my credit card statement is saying $145 and my receipt says $126.90. I’ve never had such a stressful experience with U-Haul.

I had a bad experience. I was wrongfully accused of making 2 tiny scratches on the door of the truck. I recommend that you carefully inspect for tiny scratches before renting.

Rep didn’t know where was the closest U-Haul location that the truck was to be returned. She stated that it was about 3-4 miles. In reality it was 12 miles. The original rental was to be returned to Capital Ave. In later email / text from Uhaul, it stated that the truck should be returned to Fayatteville location. Since Capitol Ave U-Haul was full, I drove it to Fayateville to return the truck. Not even a thank you. That’s ok. I understand you are busy. No customer is at the location when I was there.

This was the worst experience of my life with any vendor. I had a 26 foot truck reserved for pickup Thursday, December 14th. When I arrived at 8:00, my truck was not there. I called the emergency hotline and (Lulu ?) was the only thing positive about the entire situation. I had movers sitting at my house at 8:30 that morning and I was on the clock @ $190/hour. I ended up getting at 20 foot truck and did not get back to my house until after 9:00. It took longer than expected to move, as we had to make more trips, thus more money to the moving company. I requested that I not be responsible to ANY of the $49 for the truck and was told I needed to call a regional manager. Completely unacceptable. What was done as a cost saving measure only turned out costing me more in the long run. For no issue of mine, rather Uhaul. Feel free to contact me directly to discuss. The person was not available when we came to pick up, phone calls were unanswered. Finally the person came to assist us. She was not at all knowledgeable about the equipment we were picking up. She also went through the entire prices of choosing a drop off and paying, even though I told her we had completed the online check in and pre payment process. She then acted surprised when she clicked through to see we had actually already filled out the info. I also believe she modified my reservation because I was charged for a late drop off the day after we picked the unit up even after she confirmed the reservation was for 48hr
