I was charged $48.00 for a broke van, I didn't use. I brought van back immediately because I received a Check Engine light & Check Engine Oil light as well. only had van for two hours drove only 1-2 miles. files a claim online about it all. Asking for my money back. The van was in poor condition, dirty windows and Check engine lights. IF I DON'T RECEIVE MY MONEY BACK I'M FILLING IT IN SMALL CLAIMS COURT. WORST BUSINESS I HAD ALL YEAR!

The lady who set me up was great, however there was gravel/rocks all over the floor of the back of the uhaul and I was charged $30 dollars for renting pads/not returning the pads when she didn’t have any to begin with. I can’t return something I never got in the first place

I was extremely dissatisifed with my experience. I booked my uhaul van for a Saturday pickup at 10 am, at a Williamsburg, Brooklyn location, since all the manhattan facilities were sold out. I ordered this on a Wednesday. When we went to pick up on Saturday, there was no van there and we were told the reservation was canceled. I never received an email or phone call. Then I got on the phone with u haul and they said it was not canceled it was moved to a different location (again, no one contacted me to say this). I called this new location, in Ridgewood BK, far far from where I was originally picking up. They had no record of my reservation and said they were overbooked. After several back and forth's I was able to determine the van was available for pick up at the Ridgewood location, but had somehow gotten booked under my friend's name who was driving and not mine. By the time I got there, it was 2pm, and the place said I was expected to have the van back by 4:30pm. How I was supposed to drive back to manhattan, move all my stuff from downtown to harlem, fill up the gas tank and have it back by 4:30 I cannot understand. I did not have any other day to move, so I had to take the van, hastily shove all of my things including a bed and bed frame and all my boxes into the van and sprint up to Harlem to try to unload in time. We were of course late in dropping the van back off, because again, how was I supposed to return this van in time when my original reservation was moved and no notice given to me. The van itself was fine and the woman at the auto repair shop where I picked it up was as nice as she could be, but Uhaul really dropped the ball in helping me make my move pain free. It was extremely stressful and completely unprofessional to have never given me notice of a location and time change and then cross wires in attempting to verify where I was supposed to go.

The location was great, however, my experience with UHaul prior to Saturday was a nightmare. My site was changed on Thursday, two days before I was supposed to pick up the truck due to a holiday. I understand that being out of the control of the designated Uhaul locations, but upon calling Uhaul to discuss this with them, I was hung up on, twice, and yelled at by two different people who didn't even ask for any of my information- just went off on me. I was finally transferred to someone incredibly helpful, who transferred me to scheduling, and to another woman who was incredibly helpful. I was given a credit because I had to drive even further to pick up the uhaul, and then further to both destinations between moving. On Saturday, the woman at the Uhaul place was great, and helpful but the experience prior was not.

Please state exactly where the car is parked. We had such an issue, specifically at this location, for finding our car, since there was a damaged van in the lot where the address is located. Our van was parked across the street, and not until we talked to customer service did they finally tell us where the car was. On top of that, the self-service online check-in did not work on the computer or on three different browsers on my iPhone. It, thankfully, would load on another passenger's phone, but not mine.
