The van smelled badly like cigarette smoke. Probably not the fault of the location, but one of the previous users.

There is zero parking - the truck was dirty and smelled like smoke. There was no mention as to where I should drop off the van after hours - I finally found a mail slot concealed in the door - after 45 minutes. I ended up having to wait 15 minutes to get the van because there were moving trucks in the facility that was making it difficult for me to get the van. I was told to wait, but after waiting that long, I had to go and had to park my car with extreme difficulty because there was no space in the facility. called the after hours number twice and a U-Haul rep tried calling twice as well, but nobody answered.

This was not the location I requested, It was farther away than I wanted and they did not open until 9:30 which complicated my travel arrangements. PLEASE listen to my my audio tapes with the U-Haul customer service rep on 4/27... they made no attempt to satisfy my problem. I got transferred to 3 different reps, but nothing got resolved.

We arrived while the attendant was out of the office so we had to wait 15 minutes to enter the lot to get the truck. Then when we returned the truck the key code did not work and the attendant was at lunch so we had to wait another 10 minutes until he returned and entered his own gate entry code.

The technology at this location was slow and check-in took 15 minutes. Check-out took 10 minutes. When we walked in, we were ignored even though we were the only people there. It was really not fun!

I received the wrong gate code and couldn't get in or out the facility when I was dropping off the truck. It's was around 9:00pm and luckily there was a person going out or else I'd be stuck inside.

The self pickup process took longer than it would have to go into the office. I’ve rented a van from uhaul several times. You already have me in your system but you needed to call two people to make sure I wasn’t going to steal your vehicle. In the end I needed to go into the office to pickup the keys anyway. It was pointless. The system you’ve created feels more like passing off labor onto your customers rather than providing a convenience for them. I don’t intend to use the self serve option in the future.

I reserved on line to self pick up at 7:30am. This location does not offer this, had to get the manager in early to get the vehicle. I had arranged this pick up time due to needing to pick up a couch from someone that works night shift and needed to go to bed!!

I booked 12 furniture pads, but they only gave us 6 saying we didn't need all of it, and they didn't change what we booked in the system so we would have been charged for the missing pads if our drop-off location hadn't cleared that up for us.



The only problem is not their fault. It is located on a busy street where there is a "No Parking" sign on the whole street. You have to hope there is someone who can open the metal door, or know the code. If you aren't a customer yet you won't know any code. Very professional, friendly, helpful employee. I initially did this online.
