Waited for 2 hours for anyone to arrive at the shop past my appointment time. Truck had 1/4 tank of gas upon pick up. Very sketchy building. Different people loitering around the shop.

The business is never open.I arrived shortly after 8:00 and couldnt back trailer into spot because of a abondoned junk car in the way. spent 30 min there and was charged another day.

I will be honest, this particular location, looks a little intimidating, from the outside. It's small and old, compared to the big Uhaul stores, I have used on previous occasions. That is my only complaint, if that qualifies as a complaint. Beyond that, I received the best service, I have ever received from any Uhaul location...EVER! I am at a loss for the gentleman's name, who helped me....dang! But anyway, he was quick, efficient and pleasant. AND THEN...when I left and forgot all the paperwork, on his desk, he called me to let me know and INSISTED on bringing it to me, rather than me come back with the trailer, to get it! Who does that!? Far above and beyond! Uhaul, you should know what a terrific dealer you have! I will always use the W. Division location, from now on. Thanks!

This was the worst moving experience (and one of the worst experiences in general) that I have ever had. Originally we were supposed to pick up our 10 foot truck at the South National UHaul dealer but we received a last minute email that our pickup location had been changed to the Division location. When we got there, there was only 1 truck on the entire property which ended up being ours. Shortly after pulling the truck out of the parking lot, 2 dashboard lights came on including the check engine light. The truck also skipped gears at 20 MPH and the engine made a rattling noise. We quickly turned off the road and went back to the Division location within 5 minutes. However when we went back to the Division location, the shop had already closed and locked their doors. Nobody was left on the entire property except for a pitbull that was chained to a post in the back. The store was supposed to be open until 9 pm and it was already closed at 4:30 pm. We called the store several times and nobody answered. 2 people who "cleaned and looked after the property" came shortly after and told us about the "shady and flakey" stuff that the owner always does to customers. We called UHaul several times after this with little to no help. We were told that there were no 10 foot trucks in the entire city of Springfield and were going to have to drive 20 miles west to pick up a 20 foot truck which would be way too large for our move. One of the workers suggested stopping by the West Chestnut location which was also closed at 5:000 pm despite the website stating it would be open until at least 7:00 pm. I finally drove the malfunctioning truck back to my apartment because I had essentially lost half a day of packing and loading up the truck at that point. I tried to call UHaul again and finally got a helpful employee named Amanda in the traffic department. She contacted the Campbell location and was able to get us a different 10 foot truck that ended up working very well. This was all after being told that there were no 10 foot trucks left in all of Springfield. This experience was an absolute disaster and I am going to openly recommend to all of my family and friends to never use UHaul for any future moves. I was late for my move-in time and and still haven't gotten settled into my new apartment despite already starting my new job. Just an awful process and horrible customer service by the Division Store and UHaul corporate offices.

Other than my trailer leaking rain water, I was not satisfied with my drop off location. When I showed up around 4pm to drop off the trailer, the store appeared to be open, the lights were on, it was during business hours, and the flashing neon "open" light was on, but nobody was to be found and the door was locked shut. I called the main store phone number and nobody answered. I called the after hours line and a man answered who said they went home due to the rain. I wasn't aware that the trailer had leaked at this point as I hadn't been able to sort through my things after unloading. Therefore I wasn't able to express my concerns with the person on the phone at the trailer drop off. At the VERY least this office could have left a sign saying they left early, and not leave their open sign on. It wasn't a very good experience in general, where as previous uhaul rentals have been great.
