Worst customer service experience I’ve had in years. The reception at T and T was angry and confrontational from the start. Had I not already ordered the truck and scheduled help I would have cancelled on the spot

It was all find ; just wish I knew in advance that if I changed the reservation on the date I was to return it (situation changed) that there was going to be a $50.00 fee. I understand I upset the process for a reservation - but I might have made a better plan if I had known that ; otherwise everyone was very understanding !

The behavior of entire company was unprofessional. I was rescheduled to a very far off location. When we got the van, we were not given the copy of the contract that the shop owner said that we should have. I tried to extend my reservation after calling customer service, they were not able to but told me it will cost 26.81$ and did not tell me about any fees other than that. When I went to store to extend, they said it would be additional $50 (which was not mentioned in the contract I received) and I was billed for it. Then the fleet manager - David yelled at me when I tried to reason with him and understand the fees and then was charged at least $70 more than what I was told. The entire experience felt like I was being scammed.

Tom was very unfriendly, and unhelpful. I booked an alternative location and it was changed last minute without my approval! I had to rent a car to get out to this location 15km away from my originally booked location. Also I noticed I was charged 0.99 per km when I booked with another Uhaul the next day with the same 10' truck and only paid 0.69 per km. Is because each franchise can decide their rates? Really not impressed.

The system for photoing my drivers license did not work on my phone so we wasted a lot of time trying to make it work. We were in a hurry to get going so I would like to have this information when I book the truck, not at the time I need to rent it & go.

The Uhaul app did not work and I found picking up the truck was quite difficult - it would have been good to have been given more information about the process and in the end I was not able to use the app or reserve the truck online.

The guy running the convenience store gave me the wrong slip to sign. I clearly told him I did not want insurance, but he gave me the one for insurance. I have two witnesses who were there during that conversation. I understand that it is my fault for not double checking everything he was doing, but when someone cheats me like that I am not likely to return. This is a shame because he has an excellent location for servicing people in the west side.

The app and website for self service use is HORRIBLE. Signing out and returning were nearly impossible. It's very glitchy, especially taking photos. It would not allow us to move forward to the next steps. We made several calls to customer service, who could only advise us to restart the web page. On such a stressful day for people's lives, please don't make it more stressful with a crappy mobile website and app. And find a way to have people complete all those questions BEFORE hand, not when you are standing outside the truck trying to get in to move. I filled out all the forms online before, and it asked me for it again when I was trying to check out. Self service function right now is just not worth it. I would not do it again.

Be clearer about the way charging will be done - was trying to help with a fundraiser for children and ended up going over budget by 55% - not a good feeling and even when the situation was explained, no accommodation was made - poor service indeed as a member of the community.



I did not get a bill or invoice??? Just my visa got hit 150 ish dollars. Can I get an invoice?

Ensure that all the details are followed prior to pick up. Let customer know he/she will need two references if the licence is out of province. It was a but hectic to have to call family members and friends and expect them to answer right away from a 1-800 number. This could have been avoided if we were told we had to do this before rather than when we were waiting to access the key to the truck.

The man who rented it out to me was rude and not very helpful. He was giving me trouble about my international driver's license and did not want to rent it out to me. I had to call in to get my driver licence approved and had to email pictures of my driver licence. I did not get a call back so tried to call in again, a different person picked up and she was very incompetent and didn't even know what a international driver's license is. After being on hold for 20min she told us we could not rent it so we left. Then an hour later I got a call from the first representative I talked to that told me I was allowed to rent the car. I had to go back to pick up the uhaul Van. The reason I rented the Van was business related and I ended up being over an hour late for my pick up. Overall an awful experience and I will never rent a uhaul again especially not from this location!

The owner provided inaccurate information which led to scheduling problems. When I called the customer service phone number, the hold time was long enough for me to cook my breakfast. After finally being connected to a customer service representative, she couldn't help me at all which she then told me she'll transfer me to someone who can. After another long hold, I just got disconnected for no reason. Then the next day, a very rude uhual staff called me regarding the matter, and when I told him what has actually happened, he basically called me a liar and didn't care about what I had to say. (I believe all calls are being taped, so you can go have a listen for yourself) When I started my rental, the uhual truck was not clean, there was a cigarette box snuck in the truck, there was a mostly empty soda can in the glove compartment and a pair of very dirty and disgusting jeans under the seats. All in all, the dealer (owner) is very misleading and irresponsible, the uhual customer service associates I've encountered are unprofessional and rude.

The guy there is such a disrespectful person. Even through I had everything charged accordingly I had to write this review. I saw the 5 years of service with you guys on the wall and I made me sick knowing this guy has interacted with people for 5 years regarding u haul trucks. The guy seems to argue with you over just trying to be friendly and rent a truck. I hope this guy never sells anything on top of his 18 dollars commission and shuts down soon.
