Haul representative should be more informative to the customer when checking out a vehicle. Truck was clean but definitely needs maintenance. The steering was very sloppy and the air conditioning didn't work. I was charged for cleaning the truck because I didn't fold the moving blankets when I specially asked if I was required to do so and I was told no.

We love all the guys who work at this Valvoline station from out of which U-Haul trucks are rented. Was a shame their internet was spotty, which made the check-in experience troublesome.

I have rented from other vendors in the past, as well as Uhaul. I have found that Uhauls trucks seem to not ride as well as some of the other vendors trucks. But I will say that it was a quite windy and rainy day when I was moving, so that could have played a factor. Over all though it was an okay experience.

The "return your truck" online/app thing was a joke, it didn't work (on my phone at least). I called the 1-800 number and the person wanted to connect me to tech support which the automated phone line said the wait was going to be 15-20 minutes. It was after 8:00pm and I was cold, tired, and wanted to go home. I already had to drive double the distance to drop off the truck. I told the person who took my reservation that I wanted to return it at the West Bend location at: 3700 W Washington St, but instead when I click on the link that was texted to me when I was ready to return the vehicle it sent me to: 2795 E Washington St, which was twice the distance away from my house. I was really angry. And nobody on the phone would or could help me when I was dropping off the vehicle. I then found out that I would be charged $20 if I didn't do the "return your truck" thing on the website/app, are you kidding me?!. This was after a long day of moving heavy furniture, and I was beat. It informed me that I would have to create an account, take all these pictures, verify the location of the vehicle with my phones GPS, and none of that was working. The return process, should be SUBSTANTIALLY slim-lined. I was not listened to when I was explaining what I wanted to do and where I wanted to drop off. The first two people I talked to on the phone to make a reservation were clearly under trained or incompetent, neither one of them knew the answers to my questions. I will probably not be using your services again in the future. The day started off good with really friendly staff and stuff in the morning, but as time went on, things got worse. At one point I got a phone call from somebody asking where I wanted to return the vehicle... I was in the middle of moving and confused as to why someone would be calling me asking me where I wanted to return it after I had spoken with at least three other people prior to this... I understand that nobody is perfect, and that mistakes are made all the time by all people, but it just really seemed, the majority of the people I talk to on the phone were NOT trained, incompetent or just didn't know the procedures of what I wanted to do. It was a stressful day made more stressful by the staff. (Not in the morning when I picked up the truck, the people I talked to at the West Capital drive location were great). Just really frustrating. For returning the vehicle, it should just be putting the keys and contract into the box whenever you get there.

Walked in and was greeted by an employee. He asked what I needed and then said he'd get somebody. He walked over to another employee who was helping with an oil change. The employee that was doing the oil change said “well help him, you're the uhaul guy”. At that point another employee came over and helped me. He looked and saw that I had ordered a dolley. He said we don't have any of those. Then proceeded to walk away from me and wander downstairs. He came back up with a red cart and asked if this is what I was looking for. I said no. He then proceeded to go back downstairs and grab the correct dolley I ordered. The return process sucks, having to park the uhaul over at the opposite end of the parking lot only to find that you have to walk back to take photos and enter information from the uhaul. Kind of a big hassle for this rental.

The interior of the vehicle was not ultra clea. It was "clean enough" but no one had vacuumed or wiped down the interior of the cab on this 20' truck for several uses. As a policy, shouldn't they consider vacuum and wipe down a standard?

Your app checkout sucks. It was very slow waiting for approval to leave. I was at the site 25 minutes. Took 10 minutes to tell me it needed a new photo of my license, then had to wait 10 more minutes to get approval. During that time I sent 2 texts asking what was taking so long. NO ONE ever answered. I'll just check out at the store instead of using your bullshit app in the future. It is NOT quicker.

Great customer service. The technology getting checked in was a little challenged and wouldn't allow smartphone self-check, but the attendant handling my rental manually persevered to get me the truck I needed. I appreciated his tenacity, intelligence, and skill, and can definitely recommend this location!
