I got charged for 16 miles. But I only use 8 miles . My place is 1/2 mile from this uhaul. I made two trips 2 1/2 miles away. So how did I used 16 miles? ??????

The uhaul we received still had dirty moving blankets, trash, and an unsecured hand truck left by the previous renter. It was obvious that the uhaul representatives had not cleaned nor taken a once over look before renting the truck to us. Before getting to the pickup location I completed the early check-in and paid via the uhaul website (which was quick and painless). However, once I arrived to pick up the truck, the uhaul representative insisted that it was not possible to pay online and that I had only reserved the truck. I stood there for almost 10 minutes (knowing that I had already paid), while she continuously tried to rerun my card. Finally, I opened up my bank statement on my phone and showed her the charge. She never apologized for her error, she just printed the receipt and that was that.

The service hours at this location are very limited, and as a result, I was overcharged for a full day's rental. I returned my truck at 3 p.m. A gas station attendant accepted my return, but Uhaul did not process my return until 7 a.m. The following morning and charged me the additional days rental! I am livid! She helped me fill the tank with gas, so I have proof as to the time I returned the truck. I do not think returning a truck in the afternoon is cause for incurring the charges of another day. I will,choose a location where they really have a Uhaul staff. It is too bad, because I have liked this location in the past.

Clean the trucks/vans beforehand. I got charged a cleaning fee when I returned the van exactly as before. It was very dirty when I first got it.

There was a DEFINITE communication barrier with the uhaul representative. She NEVER asked me where I would be dropping off the equipment. She I asked if I could return it to a different location she just nodded. When I tried to return it to a different location, I was told my contract said I must return it to the original location. This lady's mistake cost me hundreds of dollars!! I would never ever return to this location or recommend it to anyone!

The truck was dirty with chocolate bars left over between the windshield and the dashboard, I had to sweep the cargo area. The steering wheel shakes at 60 mi/hr.

Overall experience was horrible. Initially booked the van in one location , later it was automatically changed by uhaul system to another location and there was no intimation about this to customer. Also it van was not available on time. I had tough time to find a van .

I drove 17 miles and had to put 3.5 gallons of gas into the car. That seems a system that works against the customer.

There was Tobacco on the floor, and an empty wine bottle in the door when I picked up the truck. Oil pressure was bad, transmission overheated in the mountains more than once. U-Haul proprietor didn't seem very knowledgeable, had no dolly or pads, and no suggestions of where to get any.

The location I selected (one block from my apartment) was changed the day before my move, so I had to make last-minute arrangements to pick up the truck. When I arrived, the customer service representative didn't know how many miles came with the rental. He also didn't know that I had ordered 2 packages of moving blankets. He said all the info was in "one system," and he couldn't see the details of my order. He told me he didn't have blankets, and they would remove the charge for them from the bill. I didn't have time to drive to another uhaul location because I had movers meeting me at my place. I asked another employee, and he looked in my truck, and they were already there. The truck was fine, but this rental location really didn't seem to be very knowledgeable or organized.

I am disputing $9 gas charge, I have run the truck for 4 miles, I've added two gallons of gas and the meter gage was more than what I've received the truck! Please let me know as soon as possible, I will dispute the change with American Express by the end of the day. Thank you

Hire employees with class and respect. And maybe 1 person who speaks English as their first language. Chris was the kid helping me and had zero customer service skills and no class. Was discourteous, didn't care to help me, and made me feel uncomfortable for being there. When I returned the van, he rudely asked me "did you put gas?" He had not once mentioned refueling and I told him I did not. He replied "Go put gas." I answered "You go put gas." and gave him the key. I just spent the last 3 days moving, was already irritated and tired and was a moment away from slapping him in the mouth. I will never return to this location again nor will I recommend it to anyone. The van I rented was very nice and clean although there were empty water bottles and napkins left in the cabin I assume from the previous renter. Loved the van. Hated the employees of the location. I rented a 9 foot cargo van and drove locally in Los Angeles a distance of 81 miles. The fuel consumption, with the fillup supervised by the uhaul station person monitoring the gas gauge during the fillup to 3/4 took a total of 9.5 gallons until she told me that it was enough to qualify for no extra gas charge......so, do the math: 9.5 gallons for 81 miles equals 8.5 miles per gallon.....certainly in 2017 a normal van with a v6 engine should get double that mileage or about 15 miles per gallon. My load certainly did not weigh more than 800 pounds plus one passenger, so that should not effect the mileage for driving on flat freeway terrain.......that is my complaint. I had to spend around $13 or $14 extra for gas due to the low gas mileage. My contract number is 27138245. Mitchell Weiss email@example.com
