Truck had a dirty cab. Crumbs throughout dash area, leaves throughout floor, and the dashboard had a layer of dirt on it. Additionally the check engine light was on during my entire move and no one from U-Haul contacted me about the issue.KIRK B.

Vehicle wasn't available for pickup until over 11hours after I requested it. It was dirty and missing equipment. I was hung up on twice when I tried to call corporate. The supervisor Kelly made it worse instead of hearing me out and trying to make my customer experience better he kept cutting me off, told me to stop complaining and was generally rude and dismissive. I had to buy a dolly from a store because your three nearest locations did not have the equipment I needed.Jermaine W.

I was charged for safemove at time of pick up when I declined insurance at time of reservation! The gas tank was not at 3/8 when I picked it up and that is what was marked on the form. It was at 1/4Louise H.

There was a huge misunderstanding/lack of communication on this end that led to me wasting several hours of my own time, and potentially getting legal action taken against me. The Champaign locations have GREAT people (especially the manager at the University location) but the ones who handled my reservation were not particularly competent.Josiah M.

Derek was the man who I spoke to at this location. Although my contract told me to drop at this site he said I couldn't. Then he threatened to charge me $100 if I didn't take the truck to another location. I told him I was just following my contract. I asked his name and told him I would write this in his review. Then as I walked down the street to take the truck to another location he yelled at me something about my attitude. He was a large (muscular) man and being a woman alone with him made me feel unsafe. I understand if the site couldn't take any more trucks but I should of been notified earlier via text or voice call. He made this my problem and made me feel unease which is why I left quickly. My hope is that he receives some retraining in customer service.Angie W.

The owner at this location was amazing especially when the U-Haul online reservation system 1) wanted to change my pick up time and 2) no one with U-Haul's online chat or both customer services numbers could help me. He told me to keep my original time and made the pickup/drop off process was so smooth. GREAT customer service here...would definitely come back if I have the need again!!Colleen M.

The guys at Above & Beyond were great. Only complaint is that the pads and dolly I ordered were at a separate location, and I wasn't told that until I got there (not this location's fault). Then when I tried to return the pads to the place I got them, they said they had to go back with the truck. Better communication between your locations, please, U-Haul.Sylvia S.

several times over the past several years ive used Uhaul. Im icredibly unhappy. My vehicle is never what i wanted where it was supposed to be at the correct time. Uhaul has gone backwards on customer service and satisfaction. i never take time for surveys but this time i had too. Feed up with Uhaul!matt L.
No one from the location called to verify pick-up information with me the night before - I preferred to pick up my truck from the U-Haul on University, which is where I showed up since I was not informed otherwise. As they did not have my truck available, I was left waiting for over an hour until the correct location opened. I needed to move a couple of large shelves. I traveled 2 miles and I was charged for 1 1/2 gallons of expensive gas. I didn't have the engine on unless I was moving. Either you need more efficient trucks or honest workers. I returned the truck after they were closed and I'm not going to waste my time complaining. I'll just find another company to rent a truck next time I need oneBob D.
The staff was friendly and efficient, but the vehicle, while clean, was awful. Whether it was good 127,000 miles ago I do not know, but it was utterly underpowered for taking a modest load over the mountains of WV and MD. The transmission in particular was awful, refusing to downshift on uphills but downshifting the second you touched the brakes on a downhill, driving the engine up to 4500 rpms with unwanted and unnecessary engine braking. I previously took a 26' truck on this same route with a heavier load, and had no such problems. This location was fine, this truck should be scrapped.Stephen H.

The doors didn't open until 8:15AM when the store is supposed to be open at 7:00AM and I reserved a vehicle there the week prior, but there was no mention of the pick-up being at a different location.NICHOLE M.

This location also charged me for a utility dolly but did not provide one and instead sent me across town to another U-Haul location to pick-up the utility dolly. This was a huge hassle. This guy was rushing U.S. and lied to us about how to resolve an issue that he needed to take care while in the store because he either wanted more money or didn't feel like being bothered. I am upset about this because when I called the head office they said no this must be taken care of before you drive off the lot and he told us we needed to call the corporate office. He refused to give us the number and told me to use my phone and google it. His disception and rudeness will make me reconsider actual renting the uhaul again. He should have explained the process and what he was doing during the transaction. Very rude and would never go there again.TRACY D.
