I reserved a 20' truck online a week before I needed it, at a specific location, for a few reasons. I was informed the day before picking up my Uhaul of a location change. I budgeted for my rental based on where the pickup and drop off were (mileage charge), and also planned my day (with 7 other people helping me move) based on pickup time/location. (I caled to ask about the mileage issue and was told I would be given a discouunt that I do not see applied to my rental, so being lied to before I even got the rental was not a great start.) So: Due to being moved to a different location which did not open until 10am, I was forced to use the mobile check in to retrieve my Uhaul at 09:30am. (My original location opened at 9am.) Therefore, instead of walking into the Cayce Ln location at 9:15 and leaving with the truck at 9:30, I spent 30 minutes going through your RIDICULOUS online process (that I couldn't even begin until I was on site), while everyone who was helping me move that day stood around at my apartment waiting for me to show up 30 minutes late. The 2 step verification process is just ridiculous. I already had to confirm my identity and sign my life away when I reserved the truck a week ago. Then you made me sit in the parking lot and do all of that stuff a second time, in addition to this INSANE identity verification process that required a phone call to a third party AND my employer while I sat there in the parking lot waiting to be "approved" to pick up a truck that I reserved a week ago. And thats not even mentioning the other ridiculous options you had like providing my social security card. I mean really?! You guys need to make the "background check" part of the initial reservation process if you want all that info. Uploading the "selfie" and drivers license photos also took 3 attempts due to the website not working. I could have easily provided this in advance as well. FINALLY, once I got to the key retrieval stage of this journey, I spent several minutes walking the perimeter of the entire Mattress World building trying to locate a lock box that was on the complete opposite side of the building from where all the trucks were parked. That doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me at all, but wouldn't have been a big deal if there had at least been a sign on the building or description of its location on the website. (Photo of the box on a brick wall was not helpful at all since every exterior wall looks exactly the same.) Anyways, once I got through this nightmare of a process, the rest of the rental was actually a very pleasant experience. I daresay I would have only had good things to say about the cleanliness and newness of the truck and other things that were nice about my experience, if only someone could have been bothered to drive the truck I rented a week in advance 3 miles down the road to the original location so that I could have avoided your asinine online check in process. P.S. Cherry on top was driving by the originally requested Uhaul facility that morning and seeing the same size truck I rented sitting in the parking lot.

Daryl K.Truck compartment wasn't washed out when I picked it up and they charged me $57.00 to mop it out when I returned. I argued my point with them to no avail. I paid it and walked away. I still think I got screwed!

Jim Prince got a hold of me the next day and took care of everything. I appreciate how help and understanding he was.

SEBRINA P.I was supposed to pick up in a different location that I originally selected. No one called me on Thursday to confirm when the paperwork stated they would. I received an email mid day that I was confirmed. The next morning, 10 minutes before I walk out the door to get the truck, someone called saying they didn't have it and they were trying to find somewhere else for me. I had to wait an additional 2.5 hours and when I arrived they didn't have either of the dollies I reserved. I was told by Jim price that he would provide me a discount due to the issues and didn't receive one.

I made sure to email you to tell you where it was so we didn't get any extra charges.

DONNA R.This drop off location was much more convenient than the one Uhaul tried to move my reservation to after i booked the truck. In fact, this was my original choice. The biggest hindrance was the 25 miles out of my way i had to drive to turn in the auto trailer before i called and complained. Otherwise, i dropped the truck off before location opened. Uhauls app wouldn't work that morning. And, since i used 2 different drop off locations the drop off locations did not know how to check in my eqpt. Resulting in Uhaul trying to overcharge me for. Which ended with a 8th call to Uhaul customer service trying to resolve the cluster they created for me. But, the lady i spoke with on the phone at dropoff was extremely nice and helpful.
