The person working at the desk could pretend to care about customer service and helping customers. When equipment is moved to the front, it would be great to not have to walk through a 3â€ puddle to connect the trailer on my own. We felt like an inconvenience instead of a paying customer, and the attitude of Area Storage about Uhaul was less than positive because of glitches in the system that made them audibly and visibly irritated.Kimberly L.

The ignition key on the 20' truck was difficult and almost impossible to pull out. After sitting on the phone with service support, the sent out a local crew to get the key out. They were at my house quickly, and able to jiggle the key out. If someone was checking and then maintaining these type of components properly, Uhaul would have saved themselves a Sunday service call.Christopher M.
I ordered the rental through the UHaul App for automatic pickup. It didn't work, unfortunately, and I had to finish the process at the desk. There was additional contact info needed that was not requested in the app. I would recommend that you not depend on the app if you might arrive after hours. Fortunately the site was open and the site quickly finished the rental process efficiently and professionally.john S.

I scheduled the pick-up for 7am. Upon my arrival, I started the check-in process on my phone. It said my truck was scheduled for in-person pickup and I needed to return at 9am. I contacted Uhaul and they stated I had chosen 24/7 truck share, but the location had dropped the ball and had not prepared the truck for pickup. I had to take off work to get the truck. There were crumbs and trash in the cup holders.BRADY W.

Make sure the guy who made my reservation over the phone and handled the pickup (same guy) is courteous and professional. He did not want to deal with any questions during the process. Was a jerk to deal with. If I was not working with a tight timeline I world have canceled. I will not deal with him again.STEPHEN S.

The transmission on that truck was in rough shape. It would hold in gear as you slowed down and then when it finally did downshift would lurch forward. Otherwise, everything was great!Christopher P.

Accept returns on the system. For some reason the system wouldn't allow me return the trailer there and I had to call multiple times to get permission to return there instead of Grandy NC an hour RT out of my wayHong M.
The gentleman who services Area Storage and this U-Haul location was extremely rude to me when I picked up the unit but I let it go. The people who were also renting at the same time, commented how rude he was when they walked out. When my husband dropped it off, he was extremely rude and snarky to him. It's as simple as, adding a "please" instead of being demanding. We will not rent from here again and instead use the U-Haul at Shoreline Outdoor Power Center, who are very nice and professional.Conrad C.

We rented a 6 x 12 trailer. It was not maintained AT ALL. There was not another trailer available, so we had to take it. All four tires were low on air, so my husband filled them. The front of the fender on the driver's side wheel well was detached from the trailer and hanging half way to the ground. (It was marked by U-haul with a sticker as prior damage - but they didn't repair it.) That was dangerous. My husband bent it back in place and bolted it down. An hour after filling the tires with air, one of them was flat again. We went back to the U-haul location, but he said he couldn't help and advised us to call Roadside Assistance. It took 6 hours for Roadside Assistance to repair the flat tire. This delayed our trip by a day. As if that's not enough, when we got on the road the next morning, we found that the brakes on the trailer didn't work. The U-Haul location obviously didn't even check tire pressure on the trailer before renting it out, and the fender should have been repaired, not marked with a sticker. It could have caught onto something on the road and been completely ripped off. THIS TRAILER SHOULD BE OFF THE ROAD UNTIL REPAIRED. IT IS DANGEROUS. IT HAS INDIANA PLATES - TR426XCNMartin M.

1st I shouldn't of had to go point harbord for the truck I selected a location for a reason ya I was given the extra miles but I also lost needed time. The location it self I can't comment on due to it being left out after hours for pick up. And then the trail delay put me a day behind schedule. And who ever was the smart one that put in play that you had to hook up the trailer and disconnect it needs to be fired that is a huge inconvenience on the customer.KRISTOPHERLEE M.
