The 20 Foot Truck reservation was fine, but the accessories were not ready. I completed online check in and payment upon arrival on site. Noticed that the Truck did not have the necessary accessories inside the cargo section. I Went into the store to inquire about the blankets and dollies. The service agent provided the blankets, but could not provide the dollies. Service agent call uhaul and said someone from Uhaul would call me to tell me where I could pick up the dollies. I never recieved that call. After 4 hours, I call uhaul to inquire about the dollies; UHaul's response was I should have received them when I picked up the truck. My reply was they dollies were not on site to be received. I should receive a refund for the dollie rentals that were not provided. I went to a second location and was able to rent one Appliance dollie, and as expected, I paid a second time for that rental, but perhaps UHAUL should refund that rental for the inconvenience of driving another 60 plus miles to pick up the appliance dollie that should have been at the first location.

I was to pick up in Fort Dodge but somehow it was put on his calendar for December and not November so I had to drive to Clarion to pick up. That was very inconvenient.

The truck had trash in the cab. The store where we picked it up wasn't knowledgeable in what needed to be done and completed (paperwork)

Be sure the equipment is ready for the next rental. The trailer had a plug connector 18" away from the end of the tongue. I went and bought a $12 extension. The trailer did not have a proper functioning left turn with the lights on. Had I have been going long distance I would have repaired it myself but was done before dusk.

How to improve... 1) When you know that someone is coming in, make sure that someone within the store is knowledgeable about checking the U-Haul out to the customer. Train the employees. 2) Knowing that the customer ordered furniture blankets, have them ready to go. If not available, should be able to tell customer right away during checkout time. 3) Due to the pandemic, let the customer know if the U-Haul has been sanitized or not. Maybe a sign could be placed in the vehicle to ensure the customer that it has been cleaned.

The gentleman that was called in to help me the rental was very nice the people before him were very rude and not wanting to help because it was almost time to close but I had informed them that I had already made a reservation when I came to return the trailer extremely early the lady was trying to charge me again I was very upset and said why would you guys run my card and then try charging me when I'm dropping off the dolly trailer and she had no answer for me well she tried saying after Sue's making phone calls that they put a hold on my card and once she would run my card again that it would release the hold and charge what she was charging which made absolutely no sense to me because why would you charge or put a hold on it when you are supposed to pay right away for the trailer and that should have been it well she didn't understand that I was going to be dropping the trailer off later that evening and they were going to be closed anyways so they wouldn't have been making me rerun my debit so why would I have to run it just because I'm dropping it early it made no sense

The guy called me and told me in the middle of the day they were closed at 5, not 8 and we live an hour away and I was working until 6. A family member had to drive an hour away to go pick up the trailer.

Huge mess in getting this truck. I initially reserved online and was due to pickup in Waterloo, then got changed to Clarion then the times changed and it was one thing after another. Not a smooth pickup process at all. Brothers Market was perfect in customer service but otherwise for what I paid for 24 hours was terrible.

we returned truck before 6pm on Sunday night due to bad weather coming in. manager on duty couldnt get ahold of person in charge of uhaul. She went ahead and received truck anyway. took a photocopy of the lease agreement and left a message for monday morning. im glad they have a uhaul location in Clarion but it just needs to be a little more organized and more than 1 person needs to know about the situation. due to snow and water everywhere we were unable to give it a good cleaning without tracking more muck inside. however it was as clean as when we picked it up. The truck itself needs maintenance taken care of. Twice while trying to start, the ignition stuck in the start mode and we had to shut it off and retry. ignition is very sticky. also the transmission needs some attention as far as shifting and such it sounds like a 300 ton diesel truck going up a sharp grade. (this truck is gas NOT diesel). The box part on the inside is in "new" condition. The floor in the box is extremely slippery when wet. We found ou the hard way after my husband slipped and fell. will we ever use uhaul again .... yes but i hope to never move again. thank you so very much for your time and please respond to renwenchb@yahoo.com or (512) 591-1132

Running lights were inoperable on trailer we rented. We were relocated to this pick up location no less than 4 times from our original location pick up at Ames, Iowa. This relocation added 1.5 hours to an already long car ride and loss of gas having to drag an empty trailer down 35W to where I needed it.

the drop off guy said he wished he didnt do uhaul it's not worth the. corporate mistakes upsetting customers. I know I am not happy with corporate.
