Original contract was for a different truck than the one delivered. This location sent a new contract for the truck delivered but never ensured the original contract was canceled. I have never received confirmation the original contract has been canceled and the all the person at location told me don't worry about it you were only charge for one truck. I would like Uhaul to confirm the original contract was canceled and provide me documentation to that effect.William H.

When we arrived to grab trailer one guy mentioned we need a bigger bolt and to drive down the street to another store to get a bigger bolt for the hitch. I asked doesn't he have what is needed to hook up the trailer he went back into the office to check and the manager came out looked at it and said it was fine. We put our trust in the manager and the next day as we traveled from Minnesota to Virginia to take our daughter to college. The bolt fell off the metal hitch came off and was dragging the trailer by the chains our trailer swayed across 94 before Madison. we called this rude no personality or compassion customer service whom called out a tow for us. The tow guy said they put the the wrong bolt on the trailer it should have been a 2 inch instead of a 1&16th inch bolt. I'm grateful this happened in flat land Wisconsin instead of Mountainous West Virginia. but this could have been all avoided if they did what we paid them to do. Sad we put our trust in the company ability to provide my family with a safe equipment and they sent us down the road like thatapril S.

when I called to confirm they could not confirm pickup. They said they did not have trailier and said they had no idea if they would get one. So left me quite concerned. I called u haul directly, and they simply upgraded me to a larger trailer. The local site should have done that rather that throwing UHaul coporatioin under the bus and causing me concern. Lastly, I prepaid 156$ for the trailer on line, It was paid in full to my understanding. Then when I got there and picked up the trailer they said I needed to pay another $40 ? I asked why and they did not have any explaination only "the system shows $40 remaining". So I would like my 40$ or an explaination. Thanks BobRobert G.

Overcharged me by $60. Rental agreement was for one truck but they gave me a different one and then used the original truck to compare how much gas and mileage I used. Charged me $120 when it should have been $60. Have called UHAL 6 times to fix it and still not addressed.Tracy A.
Pickup location verbally confirmed a drop off location in Shell Rock. Since there was nothing listed on the contract we figured that was accurate. After we spent all day moving we dropped the trailer off in Shell Rock very late. There were three other U-Haul trucks there and we had dropped a truck at this location before. The next day we got a voicemail that we were in breach of our contract as the trailer was due at 9am and was not received. After several frustrating and rude conversations with staff (Gina specifically) to both me and my father (as he had the vehicle with towing capability). They made us go back to pickup the trailer and deliver it all the way to Waterloo. Over two hours out of our way. This was the worst experience with U-Haul we have ever had in over 40+ years of moving. None of our family will ever be customers again in the future.Rachael S.

1. I stood waiting without being greeted or asked name and how I could be helped for >5-10 minutes. I left and returned later. 2. No one was masked initially when I stepped inside; neither of the employees nor the two clients. Neither of the clients were asked to mask. Your organizational public health literacy, at the current time, ranks an F. As a physician, it is especially disheartening to see this disregard for life & health. My dad died of Covid this past week in Mason City. I don't know if it is a political statement, brutish ignorance or a complete disregard for other's health and wellness? The gentleman was incredibly rude to me. I needed help backing it into the spot where he wanted it. Barely spoke to me and just walked away without me knowing if there was more I needed to do. Trailer had a flat tire but was not noticeable when picking up until we loaded vehicle on. We had to unload vehicle take trailer to gas station to fill tire with air and then reload trailer. A bit of an inconvenience. Tire was not noticeable when at store picking up until we loaded vehicle on trailer. I informed the store hopefully they fix it before next customer uses it.AARON W.

I have now been charged two times for after hour service charges when the trailer was dropped off during advertised business hours. I have tried to contact the dealer and they have not returned my call. I have complained formally to u-haul and am awaiting a response. From a law enforcement perspective, this is theft! A phone Call explaining why a charge is necessary to the card holder should be standard practice. Just because you have my information does not authorize you to use it without my permission....George J.

The service was horrible and I rent from you guys every time I move, but I will never use that location. They charged me for a dolly and didn't even put it in the truck. The guy was talking to me rude and it was there system that wasn't working. I had to call customer service to complete the rental because they didn't know what they were doing apparently. Returned trailer at 2pm Saturday. No one there. Locked up. Not a single Uhaul vehicle , sign or trailer or anything to be seen. One small sign on a mail slot. Hope for your sake its in the right place and no one stole the trailer.Jeffrey B.
