Was charged $52.00 for a 1/4 tank of gas . And $$j25.00 for the blankets not being folded. Very excessive.will go to Ryder next time

Not happy with change of location for pick-up and return, I had selected the original location because they were open when I needed to return the trailer on Saturday. New location shows hours as open on Saturday, butt in reality they close early. I assume the surveillance cameras could be used to verify return time if needed.

They didn’t have my truck reservation at this location even though I had an email confirmation for this location. The lady walked me through cancelling my reservation that had been moved without notification and she got me set up in the same truck from her location.

I’ve used this location in the past at least 4 times and always had great over the top customer service. However this time the man working behind the counter was almost rude. He was busy at his computer for at least 5min before even acknowledging me. There was a very friendly lady at the storage counter who greeted me the second I got in the door, thankfully, unfortunately she works the storage side of the business. When the man finally was ready to help me he never made eye contact with me, he asked my last name and asked for my license, the first time he actually looked up at me was when I put my license pretty much in his face, that got his attention, he looked at me then and I just smiled thinking maybe now you’ll actually look at your customers. After this experience I probably won’t go out of my way to use that facility, there are plenty of U-Haul places around me. You need to find the woman who send to work there and bring her back!!

I recommend revising the early return process. My phone battery was too low to complete the return process (moving all day!). When I called U-haul (toll free number) I was told $20 fee couldn’t be waived.!! Thankfully local rep. was able to waive. In my opinion customers shouldn’t be penalized for early return. Also, the gas tank should be full on all units, playing a guessing game when refilling is inconvenient.

The people at Dominion Self Storage were very nice and a pleasure to work with. Unfortunately the UHAUL customer service agent, Sarah, that worked with me on my approval was rude. First time using the pickup feature, I was unaware it would redirect me to upload things after the initial upload. So I thought I initially misclicked while waiting on a response. Instead after verifying my second POC, she tells me I still haven’t uploaded the picture of the back of my license. Wasn’t aware that I was redirected to that by her until she said that, so I went ahead and did it. Two minutes after she sent the message telling me I still hadn’t uploaded the picture, which is how long it took to upload, she tells me that I haven’t responded for several minutes and that she was going to close out the chat and would need to send another message when I had completed what was needed. Two minutes isn’t several minutes and it often took her longer than that to respond. I also don’t appreciate that my 4 hour rental started at my reservation time, 9:00am, not at the time when I finished interacting with customer service agent, which was after 9:30am. It took 15 minutes just to get someone to respond. Also, perhaps it would be a good idea to get all of this information gathered from the customer before they go to pick up their rental. Particularly the secondary contact/work verification approval, as I could’ve done that faster at home on my computer instead of relying on cell service which is dodgy in this area. Overall I was satisfied with the pickup location and highly dissatisfied with UHAUL’s online processes and procedures. Next time I need a rental, I will do things face to face with the rental pickup location instead of through the website because it was such a bad experience instead of being easier.

I made a reservation online to pick up a 10 foot truck at 10am. When I arrived at the location they were closed, so I waited for 15 minutes then called U-Hual customer service. I spent about 10 minutes on hold, then when I explained what had happened they connected me to a "regional manager" but they were on vacation so I just got their voicemail and had to call Uhaul customer service again, and wait on hold again. On the second call I was told that my reservation had "not been scheduled" so I was not able to pick up the truck at the time or location that I had reserved. They got me another reservation, for a location 10 miles further and 45 minutes later than I had picked. On the website Uhual claims that you will receive a $50 refund if you are not able to pick up the right truck at the right time or place. By the time I got to the new location it was an hour after I was supposed to get the truck, and at a different location, but the customer service rep refused to give me the refund. The second location that I had to go to was fast and polite, but Uhual customer service is awful. Despite making a reservation several days in advance I was not able to get the truck on time, and theu still refused to honor their $50 guarantee. I will not be using Uhual ever again, and I will discourage everyone I know from using them either.

Manager was unprofessional/unconcerned. Checked out last day of the month, was told I wouldn’t be charged the next month’s rent, but was charged anyway, manager blew me off when I asked why.

Nice friendly staff. Good notifications via email and phone regarding bill due dates and changes. My climate controlled unit is insect free for the year+ I was there. Definitely recommend.
