I had made a reservation two months ahead of time on Holland road. I kept checking my reservation each week. Then the day before pickup I was told I would have to pick up the truck on constance road . The morning of my move I called and then was told I had to drive to Portsmouth, 20 minutes away, with movers coming in one hour. Then we had to go to Carolina highway to get the car dolly put on the truck. Everything was fine until the day that I was moving. That added stress to move day.pamela P.

I had to have someone to drive me an hour away to this location to pick up truck and drove an hour back to my job. Made no sense to me when I have 2 actual uhaul facilities within 10 minutes of me. Though the people at the pickup destination were courteous and wanted to make sure everything was right I still can't understand why when I reserve a truck I can't get it at the location and the size I need. This is the 2nd time in a row this had happened. People are stressed enough with moving and when someone else cannot follow though with a reservation what is the point of having one. I do my part and pay well someone else needs to do there's.richard S.

The pickup location charged me differently than what was quoted during reservations with Uhual. My experience in the office took about an hour in a half. The truck only had a quarter of gas but the paper work said othewise. They had to reimburesment the difference of what they charged me and the quote. It took 3 business days.Sidney G.

This was by far the worse experience with U-Haul we have ever had! The pick up time was scheduled for 8AM and the truck rental place did not even arrive to open until after 8:30. We were late for our movers we had scheduled and already paid to load our U-Haul. This was a horrible start to our moving day and we also were not given the dolly we paid to rent in the truck and we didn't notice it until after leaving the rental office. This office was so disorganized and unprofessional.Charles H.

This rental experience pissed me off. The Raby rd., norfolk VA. location and the Traffic department at uhaul completely failed me. I showed up at Raby rd., at my reserved time and they said that they had no trailer for me.They also told me that there was nothing they could do. They had not notified me that the trailer was delayed and unavailable as soon as they found out. My appt. was for 8am, they said that they MAY have it for me by 4:30. However, waiting till 4:30 would have cost me hundreds and I would have missed an event that I had been waiting for, for a year. I still missed several events.They did try to locate a trailer that would be available at one of their competitors, I said that there had to be a Uhaul trailer somewhere that I could use.Uhaul Co. policy would not allow them to call Uhaul traffic to help, but I could. So, I called and was put on hold and transferred finally to DAVID. He would not help me and made excuses until I lost my temper completely. This is not my nature and it upset me that I had to be unpleasant before he would even consider doing anything. He did locate me a trailer in suffolk, a 2 hour round trip away. AS I WAS LEAVING FOR SUFFOLK AN EMPLOYEE PULLS OUT OF THE BACK OF THE LOCATION WITH THE EXACT TRAILER THEY TOLD ME THEY DIDN'T HAVE!!!!! Anita,at the Felts automotive location in Suffolk was very helpful and pleasant. However the trailer was not properly prepared. The wheel tie downs were loose when we picked it up and were destroyed on our trip back to Virginia beach and the left rear tire would not hold pressure.Joe at the virginia beach blvd. location when I set up the reservation went above and beyond for me as well as when i stopped by on my way back from suffolk when he repaired the trailer.Kevin H.

The truck was suppose to have a 1/4 tank of gas,but it had a 1/8. Apparently I was suppose to have the truck back by 10:44 am on the 3rd, but no one told me this so, I was going to be charged for another day because I didn't know this. This drop off/ pick up point needs to explain this to customers. I had never used UHaul before so I did not know this. Otherwise, I enjoyed my moving experience with UHaul.KAREN M.

The rental contract needs to state directions for dropping off trucks here. The entire property is gated, and it took much too long to see the key drop box that was bordering the property and lot next door.Leah D.

Felts and the UHaul place out on Holland Rd in Suffolk are both great people to work with. The UHaul place in the Citgo at Pruden/Rt58 junction needs to train people who work there how to lease trucks; after waiting over 1/2 hour, I left the Citgo and went to work with the Holland Rd. & Felts locations.Angela W.
