I rent from Uhaul often, for personal but mostly work Yesterday was by far the worst experience. It started with the app. I kept getting kicked out to check in. I was not told the vehicle was parked in the back. When I returned the truck the app said to call the store during business hours. I did and they told me it was a $25 fee to have them check in the truck. That was the instruction, I was able to continue to return the truck only to get kicked out several times. I still don't have a final transaction. I went to my account there are no current reservation or past for that rental. I had to call the store again to make sure it is checked back to them. I still don't have any info from yesterday except the original order and now I can't even get to that. If you click on your link it says that the page unavailable. I still have the deposit on my card and not the final amount that popped up at the end of check out and then disapeared when it stopped responding and opened a different page. Worst experience EVER. I will never use your 24/7 truck share app again. This may keep me from using Uhaul in the future.Amanda K.

The guy there was so unhelpful, even though my contract said I had 80 miles with the truck he was insistent it was only 30. Even after the employee from the hammond location told him I had 80 miles and explained to him what to do he still ended up over charging me. Unreal so disappointed.Elizabeth A.

The mobile pickup is ridiculous and should not even be a thing. Took me over 3 hours and 2 different locations to even be able to hold a truck. The truck had over 169000 mile and once the truck got to 40 mph it felt like you were riding a horse. The vehicle bounces up and down the only reason we didn't return the truck, there were a shortage of trucks in the area due to the end of the month and we had a in town move.Reginald T.

They are not professional at all! I already did everything online with expresse check-in/out but it tooks around 1 hr(!!!!) to get a 15' truck and 1 dozen pad! They just gave me the truck key! I asked for papers for current mileage and fuel. It took 5-10 min to print it out! In paper was half fuel tank but the actual was less! They said because the truck is parked in a ramp which was totally wrong. First, instead of a dozen pad, they gave me 10 pads! I asked for 2 more! Awful experience.Mohammad S.

take away their franchise or have the "gentleman" that interrupted the young lady that was helping me fired. He was rude to me and her, foul mouthed, and apparently not very knowledgeable about how to rent units and insisted on speaking to the emergency contact before renting a unit to me is paranoia exasperated. I started walking out when he made a big profanity laced diatribe about theft and I started again to leave he finally calmed down enough to rent me the unit. While we got the unit in order, he ordered around a nice black gentleman like it was the 1960's...nigger do this, you dumb fuck, hey boy, no no dumb ass you do it this way...and insisted on taking photos of their handy work which had to be corrected by ME afterwards to make it SAFE. IF I didn't need a unit that day, I would have left.Phillip D.

They were friendly but the truck did not start after loading it up! We were not able to move our items. Tge entire evening was a waste. Our friends took time out their day to help us move and then could not do anything because the truck would not start!The next day someone e came to jump it to start. They did allow us to keep the truck another day but we did not have any help to move so things did not get done. It was a waste and i still had to pay! I filled up the tank completely six blocks from this location. The staff looked at the truck and approved the return condition. I got a taxi home. I was half way home in a taxi when this location began calling me repeatedly. When I got home I called them back. They said the tank was â€œslightly under full.â€ I said I'd pay the $14 I was quoted to have the tank filled â€œcompletelyâ€ (whatever that means). I was told it would be an additional $30 to drive the van across the street to be filled. At this point I was home and said â€œwhatever. You do what you need.â€ This is deeply disappointing from U-Haul. I've used u-hual for several moves over the past ten years and never had this issue. Basically be warned that no matter how much gas you put in & regardless of being cleared to leave, you will be ripped off.Jami T.

First I arrived to pick up reserved truck and at time I reserved and location was not opened yet. Next the young lady working was very snotty she asked what did I need help with after arriving late. I stated that I was picking up U-Haul she proceeded to say the person who takes care of the U-Haul is not here and walks away! So I just walked out and tried to go find another local U-Haul rental so I could proceed with my move. A gentlemen came to the door and flagged me down and told me to come back in. The young lady still had bad body language and bad attitude upon me coming back in. I did let young lady know that her attitude was really bad and that it was not professional the way she was behaving. A gentlemen on the phone coached her through the process so that I could get my reserved truck. I was handed my keys with no walk out to check gas or milege at this point I'm trying to move forward because I'm on a time frame to move the gas was not matching to the sheet. Overall it was just a very bad experience and I have never been treated in the manner I was treated today especially when spending my money.Brittney J.

When made the reservations, pickup was about some place around my house but when I called to confirm an hour before pickup, was told that I had to drive 22 miles to Indiana (another state) in order to pickup the vehicle I ordered and on a different time than I requested! The u- haul rep was not at location at designated pick up time, nor would he answer the phone. The sales associate from Furniture and Beyond assisted us with the help of someone else from u- haul (Daily) on the phone. What should have taken 10 minutes took almost an hour. Uhaul rep was not able to process my online reservation extending my wait time. The van was nice and new but there was saw dust all over the back. The front cab was also dirty and had a piece of a metal cage (dog cage?) floating around on the floor which found its way under the gas pedal. A potentially HUGE hazard if it were the brake pedal. Trucks should be gone through and cleaned out between each renter. Thank you, JoeJoe A.
Owner arrived approx. 1 hour later than published time to open his business. Owner was not there when I went to return the rental, I had to wait once again. I was charge $10 for the insurance even though when I made the reservation online it gave me the option to select it or decline - I declined. The owner told me there was nothing he could do to remove the charge. I found this very deceptive! I would really consider NOT using UHaul again.terry E.
