Gate was locked and could not get my truck until they opened late at 9 am

No dolly in truck, yet i was still charged despite calling customer service that morning. Lock on truck was frozen shut so took me about 20 minutes to turn the knobs to get it to open. When i returned truck, the uhaul app on my phone did not provide me a gate code to get back out of the locked facility afterwards, so i had to jump the fence. Overall extremely disappointed and will never use UHAUL again.

This is not Gatehouse Self Storage's fault however, I placed the order online for my U-Haul truck about 2 weeks prior to the needed date and confirmed it with the pick up location the day before needing it. I scheduled remote pickup. When I arrived to pick up the truck, the remote check in said I had to wait until the store opened (the store would be closed all day). When I called customer service for help the lady said the truck had never been turned back in so I had no truck there. She was helpful in that she found me another truck nearby but it was smaller and I would not have the hand trucks or quilts that I ordered. Upon arrival at the new location, it was gated and I had no code to get in. Because the app was not working at this location either, I had to call again and get the code which had to be cleared with the manager before it could be given to me. When I finally got in and was able to start the remote access via my phone's web browser, the truck itself was fine. I even lucked out and had an appliance dolly left in the truck. U-Haul partially credited my account for my charges and everything after the initial hassle was fine. My biggest complaint was that I was not called to let me know that I would have no truck for my move date regardless of having had it scheduled 2 weeks in advance. I am not sure who is to blame for that one.

The location was perfect and the facility is beautiful. The gentlemen that greeted me was very friendly and courteous. He had me checked in and on my way very quickly. I arrived on Friday at 3:30 and unfortunately I don’t remember his name but he was awesome. I will definitely use this facility again.

Train the service personal on doing there job in all locations. Also the truck itself was filthy and did not come with the equipment that we specified for.

I feel you should let customers arrive 15 minutes before their pick up time. I realize that it is necessary to go through the approval process and take photos of the truck , but it took me a half hour. I’m not upset. I got my truck back in time.

I reserved a 26' truck 2 weeks in advance. I had to leave a credit card on file. I asked if I could pay with a different card when I picked truck up because I left card home that I wanted to pay with. I was assured at Jones Supply that I could do that. I went to pick up truck & there was NOT a truck for me. They sent me over 15 miles away to pick up a truck with BAD tires, cracked front fender, side of truck had severe damage & there was actually DUCT TAPE covering some type of damage. Also I was told the truck was OVERDUE to be serviced. I told them the truck was going to be returned to original reserved location, Jones Supply in Benson. I made it clear that I should not have to pay extra for that. I also asked woman to switch credit card & she said I do that when truck is returned. I received a call from Walter Ashley stating I didn't legally have the truck because they changed the card I used to ONLY reserve truck. I gave him correct card & he PROMISED to adjust extra miles used to pick reserved truck at different location. He also said the woman a pick up location was new & did EVERYTHING wrong. He also said when truck was returned to Jones Supply he would make a note to take money off. But after I returned truck, I get an invoice for extra $80 totaling $313, not the original $233 minus whatever Walter would take off
