The folks here were pleasant and efficient but I had already lost an hour driving to the wrong place. SO frustrating! Let's see first of all I want to make sure that this complaint gets noted and somehow someway dealt with. First of all I live in Woodland park Colorado which is approximately 25 miles from the western slope of Colorado springs. I had attempted to reserve a 6 x 12 trailer for the period one day and iAmazingly there was only one available for the date and time that I needed it. I looked online and everything was either too far away for me to try and reserve or not guaranteed in stock. So luckily I had a family member call around and was referred to your location at last chance motors and U-Haul on the west portion of Colorado Springs. Which meant I still had to drive about 35 miles to pick it up. Made the reservation for pick up between nine and 9:30 AM for Yesterdays date. Which meant that I need to make sure I was awake approximately 8:00 AM to be able to get ready go down and pick that trailer up on time. Which I did accomplish myself even though I work overnight. When I got to the first location first of all there was nobody There from the admin department to complete my transaction. Luckily there was one of the mechanics that works on your guises equipment trucks there to work on it. Take them a little bit of time but he found a reservation number time date women pick up needed. But for some unexplainable reason they had taken one piece of equipment I have reserved and need it for the date and relocated it out to this mailbox place on Barnes Road all the way on the far east side of Colorado Springs. The gentleman that was trying to work The transaction for me since there was nobody else there explain to me now that morning or the night before the trailer was there on their property and he couldn't explain wine but somebody moved it to the other location. Wasn't under rental and dropped off in a different place it just got moved. And here's the issue by having to drive about an extra 40 minutes plus From the original agreed-upon location that I had budgeted time for automatically not only put the extra mileage in my trip but I ended up losing almost 2 hours of the much-needed time I needed to complete my task for the use of the trailer and my day! This to me as a non-professional way to run a business. Not only did I lose that time that I needed for everything accomplished in a timely manner but I had the mechanic from the first place call that location to verify that the trailer was there before I had to go all the way out there which he did and I appreciate it. But he told them that it was supposed to be at that first agreed-upon location and that the system stated it was relocated to their location. And explain to them due to this error I would be running a little late to pick up the trailer. I miss is where I had to go ahead and spend the extra 40 minute drive to get there and after going ahead and filling out the paperwork doing everything needed for the rental I was then told that even though I'm picking it up at 10 o'clock in the morning now I still had to return it at nine because that was the reservation Time I had agreed to pick up the trailer. So now I'm sitting here looking at OK now last two hours almost with the extra drive time and crap that somebody made a mistake on. And in fact nobody contacted me letting me know about this change so I could alter my time to be able to pick up the trailer on time, I was greeted with the fact that I lost the extra time to drive a lot further than agreed-upon or needed to pick the equipment up which put my day behind I was then docked an hour of my 24 hour equipment rental because I had to go out and pick it up somewhere else. If I had been informed previously That this change has been made I would've made adjustments to what I needed to do. Because I could've driven From Woodland Park to Florissant Colorado Which is the pleat opposite direction to get a trailer which would've save me a lot of time and energy. I have read a lot of equipment from you guys over the past 1020 years and this to me is completely unacceptable. And I wanted to also make a note of a different situation that I completely disagree with. I stopped in one of your locations on Nevada in Fillmore in Colorado Springs to pick up some packaging wrap. This was the day before picking up the trailer by the way. There was another gentleman that was standing at the counter while I was waiting to be helped myself that had a reservation for five days for full-size cargo trailer. He had the reservation on his phone the number everything. As I stood there waiting for a good 20 minutes just to purchase one product from you guys I overheard the crappy disposition this gentleman was put in. Not only did he have the reservation made his deposit and everything like that. He was told that the equipment was not on site at the moment but we're supposed to be there soon however they couldn't complete his reservation and allow him to have the trailer for the five days he had booked it for. It was because someone else also had a reservation for the same trailer two days later. it was explained to him that the problem with making a reservation online as he did sometimes there are quite a few mistakes in the same piece of equipment was double booked and that he would have to agree upon only having this trailer for two days when he desperately needed it for five to complete what he needed to do with it. It was explained to him that they would rent him the trailer but if it wasn't returned in that two day Time restriction he would be charged any and all Late fees, And be charged even more which would consume of over $50 a day for the trailer not being there on time for the next person to pick it up. The gentleman Definitely expressed his thoughts on the matter since his booking with me even prior to the other one and ask them to contact or look up other locations to see if he could just pick one up from somewhere else. It's been a little bit of time on the computer maybe one or two phone calls and then tell the gentleman he was at the lake because nobody else had anything for him to use. This is where I was finally able to complete my transaction for my one little purchase and my observation what had happened to him was absolutely unbearable. This is something that I Believe as a professional and consumer myself a shitty way to run a respectable business. I can understand if yeah some idiot rinse what you needed a couple days before or the day before whatever and they have their own reasons for returning it late that the person with the new reservation might have to work something out or pick up a little bit later in the day when they can have the other customer contact you and set with the new return time so that he can go back and get it later. But I have this five day reservation and then be told he's out of luck really screw with not only that personâ€˜s time and energy but they're already set plans and schedule that they made out to get what they need accomplish done. Definitely something you guys need to look into because I think it's totally stupid and unprofessional. Maybe my own opinion but it is my observation.NATHAN W.
Customer service was terrible from the start. The woman had an attitude and was not customer friendly. We had a emergency situation come up and we called at 10AM to let them know we'd have to pay the $39 fee to keep the truck because we weren't able to have it back by 3PM. She proceeded to have an attitude with me over the phone even though I tried explaining to her our situation. She threatened to â€œred barâ€ me from ever using UHAUL if I paid the $39 fee for the extra 24 hours but she was only allowing me to keep the truck until 6PM that day. Which makes no sense if a customer pays a fee to keep a truck for 24 hours why would I only be able to keep it three hours? So I called customer service and filed a complaint and they were appalled by her behavior. They told me she wasn't allowed to bar me nor was she able to tell me bring the truck back by 6PM if I paid for the extra 24 hours. I totally understand that other customers need equipment but we all sign a waiver saying we are willing to go to another location if the store doesn't have the equipment. It's business plain and simple and she wanted to refuse me service ever again for something that is so common when renting a UHAUL. Threatening customers is just flat out unprofessional and threatening fees that the customer service agent had never heard of like â€œover booking feeâ€. Needless to say I got to keep the truck 24 hours and told the lady didn't do her job well. If you're experiencing trouble with UHAUL the wait time took me 1 hour to get ahold of customer service but worth it to handle a crappy employee.Dean T.

The service was above average but I was very disappointed in having to drive 9 1/2 miles out of my way to pickup the trailer, especially when there are half a dozen closer locations, 2 of which had several trailers available. Thats a policy of uhaul caring more about uhauls logistics than their customers. Bad Policy!Keith M.

No where on the app. Did it mention an employee would be meeting us at check in. I extended my rental until 3 and got to check in at 145 and a man was outside telling me I was 45 minutes late and he would check me in. Because so many people have been stealing these I had no idea if he was telling the truth. He was very rude and kept insisting we give him the key. Because he had no identification we ignored him. It would have been nice to know he was there so we didn't think he was some random guy.Taylor W.

I get nobody wants to work on a sunday but both guys I worked with were unfriendly and clearly grumpy they had to be there. The service was definitely not what i have experienced before at u-haul. The thing that really bothered me was having to provide my own jack stand to lift the trailer off my truck because they were only open three hours that day. How do you only have one jack stand to lift trailers. When i asked if i could rent it i was told no and that it was the only one they had. Really? I had to go out of my way to my house and get a car jack so that i could take the trailer off.Landon W.
